Guild.xyz - dApp Staking Application

Introduction

GM Astar community! I’m Roland from Guild.xyz and we’re excited to support the Astar ecosystem and submit our proposal for dapp staking.

Guild is a community management tool that helps crypto projects grow and reward their communities by tracking onchain and social activity across many EVM chains. With this integration, we’ll be contributing to Astar’s growth and helping its ecosystem thrive. Our goal is to become the go-to community building platform on Astar.

Project Overview

Guild is a community management platform that helps crypto projects build stronger, more engaged communities. Think of it as your all-in-one toolkit for growing and rewarding the right people.

Here’s how it works: Projects set up requirements (like holding tokens, following on Twitter, or completing onchain actions), organize members into roles, and automatically distribute rewards (Discord roles, NFTs, tokens, exclusive access). Everything happens automatically - no manual spreadsheets or constant role management needed.

Projects use Guild to create token-gated Discord servers, run onboarding quests, reward active contributors, and get analytics on their whole community across different platforms. For community members, Guild makes it easy to discover new projects, prove their contributions, and earn rewards for their participation.

We’ve built Guild to be flexible like LEGO blocks - you can customize everything based on your project’s specific needs and goals.

Mission

Our mission is to make communities more engaging and rewarding for everyone involved.

We believe communities should work more like the games people love - where contributions are recognized and participation is actually fun. Instead of rigid processes, we want dynamic communities where members earn tokens and access based on the real value they bring, whether that’s creating content, staying active, or helping others.

We’re building the infrastructure to make this scalable across different projects and chains.

Team

We’re a team of 18 people working together from Hungary. The 2 founders have been in crypto since 2013, and most of the team have been in the space for 5-8 years as well. We’re a mix of developers and non-tech folks who all believe in building tools that make onchain communities better. We work closely together and have been collaborating on Guild with a shared vision of what web3 communities can become.

Security

Security is a top priority for Guild. We build exclusively with audited smart contracts using OpenZeppelin’s battle-tested standards, and our contracts are deployed across all major L2 networks.

We work only with trusted, industry-standard services and infrastructure providers. Our security-first approach has kept us incident-free throughout our 4 years of operation, maintaining the trust of our community and partners across multiple chains and platforms.

Past Performance & Milestones

Over the past 4 years, Guild has grown pretty steadily. We now have over 1000 projects using our platform and we’ve crossed 6 million users, with around 100 000+ people visiting daily.

We’ve built some solid relationships with major L2s - we work closely with Base and other chains to help their ecosystems grow. We also received multiple retro funding grants from Optimism, which was awesome validation that we’re actually making a difference.

We just launched Guild v2, which is basically a complete rebuild of our platform with way better functionality. We’re pretty excited about where this puts us for expanding to more chains like Astar.

Roadmap

We’re working on improving Guild v2 and adding new features based on what projects ask for. We’re also building out more gamification features to make the user experience better.

We’re planning to expand to new non-EVM chains too. We’re constantly onboarding new projects and trying to make Guild work better across different ecosystems.

Our philosophy is simple: we keep building, keep adding features, and keep expanding where it makes sense. Our goal is to become the best community tool in the web3 space.

dApp Staking Reward Usage Breakdown

We’ll use the dApp staking rewards to directly benefit the Astar ecosystem in two main ways.

First, we’ll invest in building specific tools and features for Astar projects. This means developing integrations, creating Astar-focused functionality, and making sure Guild works perfectly for projects building on Astar.

Second, we’ll use part of the rewards to bring more users to the Astar ecosystem through various incentives and campaigns.

I 100% support this proposal to include Guild in Astar dApp Staking!

Guild is a platform that has proven to be perfect for community activity management in Soneium, and now that they’ve integrated the Astar EVM network, we’ll start managing our community there as well.

Thanks for the proposal, @rolandxyz! :hand_with_index_finger_and_thumb_crossed:

I’m glad to see you here on the forum! I’ve been using your product both as a user since the early days and also from the project side.

I fully support your listing for dApp Staking, but I’m curious — what kinds of tools or features are you envisioning specifically for Astar projects?

This proposal is clear and well-structured, showing Guild’s value and credibility with mission, security, and strong past performance. One thing to strengthen would be highlighting what sets Guild apart from other platforms like Galxe or Zealy.

My main question is: how do you plan to drive adoption within Astar beyond integrations, will you run dedicated campaigns, partnerships, or incentives to bring Astar-native projects onboard?

It’s a great honor that the project is interested in joining the ecosystem. If I may ask a bit more - in terms of target numbers, what goals does the team have? =)

hey, soneium has been using guild for managing their community. they are distributing dc roles, points, NFT rewards and more. soon we will also help with the distribution part of projects

nice, happy to see guilders here!

you will get the same feature set that top projects on guild have been using, such as soneium or base. from now on, you will also be able to leverage guild on astar. there may even be new features specifically designed for the astar ecosystem

unlike galxe or zealy, guild combines community management with growth tools in one platform. quest platforms run short campaigns but don’t build lasting relationships. guild lets you both manage your core community and run quests on top of it

we are preparing to run campaigns with the astar foundation and to help astar projects fully leverage guild and its distribution

i’d love to see 50K members onboarding to astar guild within the first 4-6 months and to see a 5x growth in chain TVL and volume

The goals look very interesting. In terms of marketing or communication plans, what plans does the team have? In case CommUnity can help support in one way or another. Thank you very much. =)

I agree with @jay and @Juminstock
As a content creator, I’ve known Guild for a long time and would be happy to see you on Astar EVM.

A quick question: I’ve heard that Bazo community members have been experiencing issues with their roles constantly changing on Discord, as seen in the Soneian campaign, and that there’s a compatibility problem. Are these issues still ongoing? If so, can they be resolved before the Astar EVM network integration?

I agree with Guild to join Astar ecosystem to help the community grow through Guild activities.

we announce all integrations on X and dc and we amplify Aster foundation’s guild-related posts regularly

with the launch of guild v2, our product has become more reliable, and we are working hard to reduce issues to nearly zero. but unfortunately, there is no product without issues

Hello @rolandxyz,

After carefully reviewing your dApp Staking application and following the community discussion on the forum, the Astar Community Council has conducted its internal vote.

Result: :white_check_mark: [6] votes in favor / [0] votes against (out of 6)
Congratulations on passing this step! :tada:

To proceed with the onchain motion for your listing, please provide the following details:

  • The EVM or WASM address of the smart contract

  • The WASM address (not EVM) of the contract owner
You may use wallet providers such as Talisman, Subwallet, or Polkadot.js (recommended).

For reference, you can find the official documentation here:
:backhand_index_pointing_right: Astar Docs – Register a dApp

Next steps:

  1. Once we receive the requested details, an ACC member will submit the ONCHAIN motion for your listing on Astar Governance (Subsquare)

  2. The motion will require at least 4 out of 6 ONCHAIN votes in favor from the Community Council to pass.

  3. After approval, your dApp will be officially whitelisted and able to register on the Astar Portal under dApp Staking.

For reference, you can follow this guide to register your dApp:

We look forward to welcoming your project to the Astar dApp Staking program. :rocket:
