Moonstake Proposal - Builders Program Application

We are Moonstake, a top-ranking staking provider and we’d like to apply for a grant to integrate Shiden DApp staking in our wallets.

Moonstake (https://moonstake.io/) is a staking provider based in Singapore. We started the staking business last year with the aim to create the largest staking network in Asia. Since then, Moonstake has developed the most user-friendly Web Wallet and Mobile Wallet (iOS / Android) with support for over 2000 cryptocurrencies.

After a full-scale operation launched in August 2020, Moonstake’s total staking assets have grown rapidly to reach $1 Billion, allowing Moonstake to become one of the top 10 staking providers globally.

So far, we have expanded our business and ecosystem through about 30 strategic partnerships, including major blockchains such as Emurgo which is a constituent organization of Cardano, TRON, and NEO. In May 2021, we became a wholly owned subsidiary of the listed company “OIO Holdings Limited” on the Singapore Stock Exchange and we are working to further expand Moonstake’s business and improve our credibility. Previously in February 2021, Moonstake and Astar entered partnership to enhance the Polkadot ecosystem. Then, on September 15th, Moonstake started supporting receiving and sending functions of Shiden Network Token.

Moonstake is proposing to support DApp staking with Shiden. Integrating with Shiden DApp Staking will allow SDN holders on Moonstake Wallet to use Shiden dApp Staking on our Web Wallet and Mobile Wallet. This will give more exposure to the Shiden Network and Shiden’s dApp Staking feature to users and at the same time, encourage even more developers to build DApps on Shiden Network.

Grant Amount:

  • Integrate with Moonstake wallet signing
  • Perform QC check:
  • Functional test of the new implemented feature
  • System test/regression test to ensure there is no conflict between the added feature and existing ones.

This is impressive!!!

Thank you so much~ Moonstake already support receiving and sending Shiden Network Token in its wallet, we estimate that it would only take 15 days for deployment of full functionality of SDN Dapp Staking!

Agree. More choices is good.

And, although PCs are currently the main environment, I believe that volume will shift to smartphones in the future.

dAppStaking is still at MVP phase, so I can easily assume that dApp Staking is often updated.

So, I’d like Moonstake team to confirm that this includes the maintenance. (Not one-shot development)

Thanks,

I use Math wallet, with the dapp browser, I can visit portal.astar.network and perform dapp staking. Nobody has to pay a $50k grant to Math wallet developers.

Why do you ask for $50k?

Hello,

It seems that Moonstake is a custodial wallet, could you please indicate how much fees Moonstake would take from its customer?
Do you plan to implement a Moonstake dApp staking contract in dApp store
However, it would be nice to have a detail about the the grant asked.

Thank you

Moonstake always keeps up to date with the developments of our integration partners to ensure full compatibility and feature access for our users, so we’ll of course, as usual, provide continuous support and maintenance for Shiden DApp Staking on Moonstake Web and Mobile Wallets.

We have shared a detailed grant request document with the Shiden team in a separate Telegram chat as the full details are too long to post in the forum. Please refer to that document for more details.

We agree, which is why Moonstake develops both a web wallet and mobile wallet (iOS and Android) for multi-platform usage. We believe it’s always better to give people more options and enhanced user experience.

Moonstake is decentralized wallet and we do not take any fees form our users. However, we do receive commissions when users stake to our validator so we can maintain the infrastructures.

We are also plan to implement Moonstake dApp staking contract in dApp store to create a mechanism to pool users SDN to be able to setup crowd-funded validator. Users will be able to lock their SDN for fixed period of time and they will receive SDN + rewards after the fixed term has matured.

The grant is for dApp staking integration in their wallet
Their application in our dApp store is for another feature they will create.

Moonstake will soon adjust its proposal with milestones.

Thanks a lot for these additions.

Shiden SDN Dapp staking has been broken in Moonstake Wallet (I’m using Android) since approx Feb 3. Shiden made a recent change on Feb 2 that calls for a 5 day unbonding period when unstaking SDN. This might be the issue. Here is the forum update and my reply below discussing Moonstskes Dapp issue and screenshot.

I also sent a bug report to Moonstake through the app, please see that this fix is expedited as any funds staking before the issue are completely inaccessible!
