Awesome! I am looking forward to seeing your ouputs. Thanks, BAO
Thanks a lot for your kindly contribution.
Hi guys,
The event last week concluded with great success. The attached photo captures a moment from it. Thank you for your support.
Looking forward to the report. Maybe we could set some guidelines/ideas which could be used for other offline meetups/communities.
That’s a good suggestion, we can work together on a template for event proposals and a template for the report. That way, other ambassadors or community members will have guidelines for creating their event proposals.
That’s great!
The report for this Meetup is scheduled to be submitted soon. It might be a good idea to create a template by comparing it with proposals and reports from other events.
Awesome guys, great job! This kind of events are very important for the expansion of the Astar brand.
Great, Bao! I’ll very happy reading the report
Thank you for waiting!
Here is the report on the Meetup.
After the Meetup, we gathered with the Japan Ambassador Team to discuss our reflections on this time and the next Meetup. We will continue to work hard to further activate the community!
Thank you very much for all your support.
Thanks for sharing it with us, Bao! Great job!
Thank you to share it with us.
Really great job and thanks for the report @bao !
I also think to work on a template for event proposal is a good suggestion and your work could inspire other ambassadors.
That’s awesome! Keep pushing Astar forward in Japan guys. Let’s go.
Have read the report! Love the transparenc on irl meetups to see where the money goes. I think the money for these events are well spent, as its not expensiv.
Looking forward to the next meetup
Bao, to be honest from my PoV, 40 people is already a good number. Remember (maybe) this is still bear market, and Astar reputation in Japan and global is more to b2b side, there’s a possibility majority of users will think that this event is more b2b than to retailers.
Whatever the result is, thanks to all Japan amba for the great effort and for transparency. Ganbatte!
Hello @souleater,
Thank you for your feedback.
In my opinion, Japan has potential to attract more attendees. They just don’t know about events like this. Because I feel like web3 is getting more and more momentum around me. I will continue to exert my efforts.
Hello everyone.
I hope you had a good year-end and New Year.
Let’s work together to make 2024 a great year for Astar Network!
Now, let me report on the recent status of the “Astar Network Meetup in Tokyo”.
Thanks to your support, the Meetup held in November last year was a success.
Leveraging this experience, we planned to hold a Meetup in Q1 of 2024, coinciding with the launch of Astar zkEVM mainnet.
However, after discussions with the Astar Foundation Japan team, we decided that the event coinciding with the Astar zkEVM mainnet launch will be organized by the Astar Foundation Japan team. Therefore, the next Meetup has been postponed. Details on the new schedule will be reported later in the Forum. The budget received last time is being appropriately managed at the following address for the next Meetup.

Additionally, we, the Astar Ecosystem Agent, plan to participate in the event organized by the Astar Foundation Japan team. We will cooperate with Astar Foundation Japan to further enhance the presence of Astar Network in the Japanese market!
Event details
Great news, mate! We have to push hard for the official launch to be a success, generating spaces to educate the communities is of utmost importance, networking spaces have a huge potential.
That’s a smart move… postponing the event is great because we can tail winding the Astar zkEVM mainnet event and keeping community engaged for a long time.
Hello Astar Community,
A Small Report on the Handling of the Remaining Budget
Initially, this proposal thread was intended to use the budget for holding meetups in Japan. The remaining budget was planned to be used for future meetups. However, as you all know, Astar Evolution has been announced, and we are currently waiting for the right timing for the next event, with no immediate plans. Therefore, we would like to return a portion of the remaining budget to the treasury.
Let me explain the point about “a portion of the remaining budget.” We are considering renewing the “tablecloth” that we occasionally use when exhibiting at technical events. This cost is approximately 3000 ASTR (as of the exchange rate on 2024/9/24). This promotional item can be repeatedly used not only at community events but also at meetups. Therefore, we would like to return the remaining amount to the treasury after purchasing this item. Please wait for further updates.
Additionally, this proposal did not originally define the use of the remaining budget in detail. In the future, we should propose with higher transparency even in such cases. We apologize for the retroactive nature of this explanation and ask for your understanding.
Incidentally, we plan to exhibit at the Open Source Conference in Asakusa, Tokyo, in October, where we will demonstrate the real operation of the Astar Node on Raspberry Pi 5 using this new tablecloth and convey the appeal of the Astar Network.
Additionally, this content is the result of discussions with the Ecosystem Agent in Japan.
