**Hey Marroz,** We wanted to reward early Astar depositors with extra incentives, which is why the multiplier was set. Every deposit currently earns **1 Sake Point per $1,000 deposited per hour.** Additionally, we’re upgrading our protocol to add more utility to Astar. We’re actively working to enhance the use cases for Astar tokens within the Sake ecosystem, whether through **ASTR/ASTR LST looping** or by enabling ASTR to be used for borrowing other assets. I’ll definitely bring this feedback to the team! ---

I understand the initial ‘reward’ to contributors in astar… today I see a dapp, very nice, because I use it too, in which astar is like all the other tokens, there are no incentives… it’s not a criticism of you personally, rather in general, some strong words have been said about the role of astar in soneium, and the words must be followed by facts… not that after a month astr is incentivized like all the other tokens… otherwise I would appreciate it if someone (not you) explained to me clearly why a non-owner of astar should buy it… I await future updates and new particularly stimulating use cases of astar, trusting that you will remember those who believed in your project from the beginning… ---

With a lending market, you can supply your tokens as collateral to borrow stablecoins like SONE or USDC. This way, you maintain your exposure to ETH and ASTR price action while having stablecoins in hand. - LST loopers. Looking to multiply your interest on ASTR LSTs? Loopers allow you to recursively supply the LST (eg wstASTR), borrow the base token (eg ASTR), and swap for more LST. In doing so, you gain exposure to more LST than simply holding spot, meaning you gain more from the LST interest rate. - Lever longs. Similar to the LST loopers, this strategy recursively supplies and borrows. Instead of supplying and borrowing correlated assets (wstASTR/ASTR), lever longs supply and borrow uncorrelated assets (eg ASTR/USDC or ETH/SONE).
