For me, KYC in web3 doesn’t align with the vision and principles of decentralization which is paramount. If users’ data is handed over, and or accessible by an entity it doesn’t make sense going forward.
My humble submission. Thanks.

Thanks so much for positive feedback Vangardem, it’s great to hear your support. We agree that while our ultimate goal is a fully decentralized world, for now, we need to operate within existing legal frameworks, which includes KYC processes.
DOT I AM’s uses Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs) to make sure that only necessary information is shared when required. If a third party needs to verify a user’s details, they would only receive a confirmation of the details they need, like whether the user is of a certain age or nationality, and not any additional information.
To gain access to certain services (especially any services using fiat money), due to anti-money laundering (AML) laws, we might have to retain some personal information. This would be an opt-in process, and we will ensure that users are fully informed and consent to what information is being retained, and why - ensuring the upmost transparency at all times.
We’re committed to prioritizing users’ privacy and want to ensure that only the absolute minimum required is ever shared - whether thats to a 3rd party service or to regulatory bodies.
Thanks for your thoughts guys, we always appreciate the feedback positive or negative. Like I mentioned in the comment above, I share this decentralised vision with you, we’re just trying to bridge the gap
I voted in favor guys, I wish you the greatest success. I was very pleased with your answers, you have everything clear. You have a plan and that counts.
I would like to see more developing in the arena of decentralized technologies like the one polkadex is developing in which users can log in with their wallets, and; see less of centralized old tech like kyc mandatory.
Thank you
