@Dino Making Astar DAPPSTAKING better is simple:
Current problems are 3:
1)Lack of onchain voting for dapps and for everything that concerns any type of proposal.
2)Lack of control of dapps in a highly centralized system, characterized by double roles of ambassadors who pursue multiple economic incentives
3)Lack of adequate economic support for dapps that have serious development intentions. Any proposal is put on the same level, and the difference is characterized by a system that does not count real onchain votes, counts more on the power of a few influential people.
How can it be solved?
Dapp staking v3 must be eliminated as soon as possible.
The tier system being a system with unjustified barriers and closures, is only the most incorrect transposition of how things should be. If the core team intends to reduce expenses, it is better to reduce the number of max teams to support instead of relying on a non-meritocratic, unfair system that can create discontent within the developer community, in some cases for a handful of astars.
The proposal is to take all 3 points and resolve by combining them in a single problem resolution.
The astar staker is distant, and will always be, I have read many things above all of which do not understand that the fundamental point is the stakers.
The attempt to VOTE + BUILD is a failed attempt, it is only a reset that is overcome once every so many days, there is no greater interaction, because the staker has nothing to worry about. He will earn if he votes well or if he votes for a team that will turn out to be a scam.
Go back to the v2 system, reduce the rewards and maybe the available places.>
Delete UCG and Core Team dapp that is not a dapp. There can be no dapp that is not such. if the team needs funds, let them be mathematically drawn out on general inflation, but do not give the possibility to a user to vote on ASTAR CORE . It is a non-participatory vote, and therefore not positive for the system.
Dapps must propose for a total period predefined in their proposal, a number x of milestones. Milestones must have a fixed period for each team, for example 30 days.
The completion of milestones must be supervised by the council and anyone in the community can open a proposal if the checks are not done in the correct ways.
The achievement of milestones in the ways can be simple or articulated… let’s start the discussion on this too.
Simple: The milestone must be achieved in its entirety or the dapp will be excluded from continuing.
Articulated: The milestone can have a variable achievement % that are equivalent to a lower % of rewards on the 100% that would be due to the dapp.
Return to v2 system, reduce rewards and maybe available spots.>

Reaching or not reaching the goals through the milestone means that:
The teams that earn funding are the same ones that develop real things, so they cannot be contested by anyone (unless there is a proposal about the bad work of the board in a given case)
Stakers who bet on dapps that complete the milestones will earn a BASE APY + Bonus rewards
This way there will be stakers who earn more ASTR and stakers who earn less.
It is not the same thing as today with the VOTE period. This bonus will be guaranteed by real development of the supported dapps and not by the mere aimless marketing that has led the ecosystem to have a negligible number of active projects today, despite the huge number that is on the portal (there would be more to talk about today’s many active projects, multiple dapps created by 1 single ambassador… but let’s forget about it…)
This friction will ensure that the staker actively participates day by day in dappstaking and will be the same in the event that a team does not deliver the work after a certain number of months to be interested in the system.
Astar earns real votes and not the crap that we are seeing and that I struggle to even call DECENTRALIZED VOTING.
The system is strengthening and over the years you will have a competition based on real development and not on mere fake marketing as happens today for almost all existing dapps and which are gradually disappearing as you can see.
If you don’t make this change of direction because you don’t want to throw away the work done on v3, know that you will only create HYBRIDS that will displease the various parties involved and that will be a reason for future discussion.
This idea can be improved, the preventive closure to an idea like this is only the result of the obstinacy of those who created THE v3.
The v3 is a failure, accept it @dino, instead of being sarcastic towards those few who are here to fight and bring ideas and debates in an ecosystem that without this would be dead.
Dapp staking is the backbone of astar, if you don’t understand it and think it’s just a way of doing marketing while you wait for something to happen, you are damaging astar.
Development must be real and stakers must push it, not the other way around.
The various teams shouldn’t worry about doing useless marketing, they should just show their capabilities.
It has been proven that stakers do not care about anything said, done or promised by various dapps in the last two years, whether you are first or last in the leaderboard.
Leaderboards have no reason to exist.
Development should bring interest, interest should not bring development. o
Do the math, you have people who can do it (who have not been able to understand everything else, like the sentiment of developers or stakers), you could spend a few more astars but you end up with:
ACTIVE STAKERS THAT ALLOW YOU TO DEFINE YOURSELF AS REALLY DECENTRALIZED. Decentralization should not just be hypothesized, today some members think that the fact that it is possible is enough to make it real. Yes, technically everyone can vote on astar, but they do not, so it does not exist.
Healthy, real projects.
AN ECOSYSTEM THAT REWARDS THOSE WHO DEVELOP AND SANCTIONS NEGATIVE PEOPLE WHO ACTION WITH DOUBLE INTERESTS.
A reformulation of the ambassador status (HOW TO PROHIBIT DOUBLE ROLES) and the creation of other more professional figures who could perhaps help in control would be a good and right thing.
NOTE:
This procedure will lead to the destruction of the interests of a few. Those few who currently have a lot of power. If you think that this change can be achieved without the central team imposing it as an improvement but through yet another farcical vote (with a few million astars) you will not go anywhere.
Improve dapp staking and improve 3 fundamental things in the ecosystem.
