Regarding the continuation of UCG, Neemo has enough recognition to achieve Tier 2 without UCG support, so I think there is a way to keep the slot open in case another promising project comes along.
I am not against Neemo continuing the UCG per se, as I am a Neemo user and supporter, but we need to consider the UCG as a whole and whether to continue it.
For reference, four of UCG’s six slots expire this month.
- 3ridge: closed, awaiting final report
- Sonova: closed, awaiting final report
- Keyvault: until November 31
- Neemo: until November 31
- GameDAO: until December 6
- Lotto: until January 27

First of all, thank you for your kind words. As you mentioned, it’s possible to remain in Tier 2 without UCG’s stake. However, we’d really appreciate it if you could grant us an extension for the following reasons:
- Accelerate our fundraising: We’re currently raising funds and having a higher TVL helps us secure those funds.
- Increased rewards for our stakers: As part of our Loyalty Program, our stakers will receive higher rewards if our TVL is high.
Reason 1 is especially critical. At the moment, only Bitcoin is experiencing significant growth, and the market as a whole is not bullish much. Particularly in terms of VC funding, it’s a full-blown bear market. Similar to the challenges faced by other Soneium’s protocol, the current fundraising environment is extremely tough for early startups. That’s why it’s essential for us to secure as much TVL as possible and UCG extension help us a lot.

Thank you for your reply. While I can’t disclose much about our long-term plans yet, we are currently working on developing LRTs for new assets beyond ASTR, as well as DeFi initiatives like Curator Vault. We are already in discussions with our partners on these fronts.
Additionally, we’re advancing internal initiatives aimed at driving mass adoption. Once more time has passed, we’ll be able to share more information.

Think we should remove the amount from the ones that are unstaked to have an understanding how much open positions we have. Is it correct to say, we have two?
Yes, two slots are open right now and two more will be available shortly.
However, the UCG can be extended only once, so each project may apply for an extension (as Neemo did this time).

As the UCG grant period for Neemo Finance has ended, and that you’ve reached Tier 2, we have unstaked the 17M $ASTR and now staking it back to the community treasury.

I submitted the final report nearly two weeks ago and requested an extension with the reasons attached. Could you please let me know the status of this?
@SeiyaChida your reasons are acknowledged, however, for the UCG extension, please create another forum post and we will have to see what’s the community sentiment. This is also given that you’ve reached Tier 2 and based on the UCG guidelines:
If a project reaches Tier 2 in dApp Staking by attracting enough ASTR tokens and support from the Astar community, and remains in Tier 2 without the 15 million ASTR tokens from the grant, the grant will be automatically terminated. The project is considered successful enough to continue on its own, allowing the grant to support a new project within the UCG.
But, again, through your new forum post, we will let the community decided. You can update us here after posting a new topic for your UCG extension proposal.
