Treasury Proposal for ACS Campaign

I’m proposing two things here.

  • Campaign duration
    ** As-is: Feb 20th, 2025 - May 1st, 2025 (70 days)
    ** To-be: Feb 20th, 2025 - May 30th, 2025 (100 days)
In this case, we can extend the campaign duration and give enough time to users to claim their reward and participate in the next Astar Dapp Staking cycle.

  • ACS Allocation on SoneFi’s Soneium Meme Spark Contest
    ** As-is: 10m (1%)
    ** To-be: 5m ACS (0.5%)
While I believe meme culture is one of the most crucial aspects of Web3, the DAO’s concern is valid. By decreasing the allocation, we can explore the potential of the meme coin while mitigating its negative impact.

And thank you again for sharing the DAO’s thoughts.

I strongly agree with this approach!

I think the plan is defined and beyond the memes is the empowerment of the $ASTR token, many projects are fighting for it, each one in their own area.

No project or ecosystem grows without “Incentives”, the myth of organic growth is broken once you make a good marketing campaign and a dynamic based on “incentives”, SoneFi is showing a proposal based on the logic of the current market, the success will depend on the subsequent management of the platform, I am sure they will do well, they have a robust product and the head well placed, because they are attacking the growing market need in this case the great demand for memes.

On the other hand, they want to slow down the speed of the $ASTR token by blocking the $ASTR used in the bounding curve, this is unique and an incredible value proposition unheard of in Astar and Soneium.

Ecosystems remain and grow with incentives and utility, this proposal has both conditions.

I saw that the ACS proposal is already passed, do we need to make another proposal to update it?

I agree with the budget reduction for the memecoin contest – encouraging meme culture is essential, but there are more downsides than upsides in this regard for the Astar holders. Perhaps splitting the budget into two parts could be another alternative. If the first part of the meme contest delivers satisfactory results, the second part of the budget could be released.

I think the proposal regarding the timeframe and budgets of the ACS campaign is very valid. 100 days seems more appealing to me.

What will be the next steps?
How will the budgets be allocated to the teams?
How will the teams distribute and run their campaigns?
Will the current liquidity be considered, or only new liquidity?
