ArthSwap is accelerating the deflationary strategy for $ARSW by allocating 50% of dApp Staking rewards to a regular buyback & burn program. This initiative aims to reduce circulating supply and support the long-term value of $ARSW.
A portion of our dApp Staking rewards ($ASTR) will be used to purchase $ARSW on the market, which will then be immediately burned.
This move directly decreases the available supply and can help stabilize or potentially increase $ARSW’s value over time.
By choosing ArthSwap as your dApp Staking voting, you indirectly contribute to the deflationary effect of $ARSW, since higher staking rewards for $ARSW holders.
2. Discontinuation of eARSW
By discontinuing eARSW (the fee-staking feature), we reduce operational and maintenance costs, freeing more resources for the buyback.
Additionally, all $ARSW previously distributed via eARSW (equivalent to 0.05% of our trading volume) will now be directed toward buyback & burn instead.
Tier-Based Monthly Buyback Example
Below is an illustrative example of how each Tier’s dApp Staking rewards might translate into buybacks (all figures are placeholders):
The figures shown in the table are monthly estimates for illustrative purposes.
For the purposes of the estimates below, the following token prices are assumed as of [February 18th]:
ASTR: $0.04
ARSW: $0.0002
Actual buyback amounts may vary based on your Tier, market conditions, and the exact dApp Staking rewards distribution.
We will provide monthly updates with real on-chain data once the buybacks are executed.
Schedule
Buyback & Burn Start: Since next dApp Staking Period.
eARSW Discontinuation Date: February 28th.
Ongoing Reports in this thread: After each buyback, we’ll share on-chain transaction details and the exact amount of $ARSW burned to ensure full transparency.
Our goal is to run a campaign that genuinely benefits $ARSW holders. Now that token emission has ended, by buying back and burning tokens, we aim to promote deflation and increase the value of $ARSW held by those who support us.
Technically, we can manually bridge ARSW on zkEVM to Astar EVM. If you’d like to do the bridging right away, we can handle it individually. Please contact @hiro_arth on our Discord.
Interesting proposal, I have only one question, I have read that the burns will be carried out once a month, will a specific day be established for each month? Thank you very much.
To avoid excessive buying or selling on any specific date, we will conduct the buyback and burn at random times. Moreover, it won’t necessarily be limited to once a month; there’s a possibility of carrying it out multiple times throughout the month.
