based on the feedback we will switching to a quarterly thread.
Back in August, we wrapped up our last monthly newsletter with a lot happening across staking, treasury, governance, and ecosystem moves Old Thread
Here’s what’s happens since this point.
NFT Staking Vote → Passed with more than 50 agrees. Huge thanks to everyone who voted and pushed this forward.
Prototype is built, tested with the council, and our hired dev finished his job already.
Spotlight of this update:
We just dropped a leaked video showcasing the new dApp in action. This is a first glimpse of what’s coming next, and we’d love to hear your thoughts. (video is before adding dual-chain feature). Watch here - https://news.astardegensdao.com/leak
We plan to start a official testnet campaign next week. Curious people are allowed to send me a DM and test earlier (happy for each tester upfront because at the moment everything is running too smooth )
@Jonas1 The platform you designed for NFT management looks pretty cool, it’s good to see that users will be able to manage both their NFTs and their rewards in the same place.
I noticed you’re using WASTR, so you can guarantee users a constant reward generation from their NFTs. Great.
I’ll be happy to test the platform once the testnet opens.
Lastly, Astar Degens Daycare, what’s it about? And why is the branding different from what you typically use?
The Astar Degens Daycare is the AD NFT staking platform. We chose this name to be fun and distinctive.
Regarding the plateform usage, we noticed that many wallets holding AD NFTs have been inactive for several months. We thus send an important portion of AD NFT monthly rewards to inactive holder instead of rewarding active ones.
Therefore, we decided to create a staking platform to reward only active AD holders. This system focuses rewards exclusively on active holders—those who stake their AD NFTs on the platform.
We also hope this change will encourage some inactive holders to become active again.
Each month, unclaimed rewards from inactive wallets will be split 50/50 between the AD treasury and the active NFT holders, strengthening both the treasury and the rewards system for active participants.
Holders will be able to stake their AD NFTs on both the Astar network and Soneium, providing a similar user experience for AD NFTs regardless of the blockchain they are on.
First of all, thank you for providing continuous updates.
The daycare service sounds intriguing. I think it’s great that the community is being given a chance to participate in testing. I’m considering joining as well.
There are countless NFT staking sites, but only one NFT daycare service — because we’re not here to just lock tokens, we’re here to grow together as a community.
We’re rebuilding step by step, with patience and care. And trust me, there are already plenty of ideas waiting in our pipeline.
Testnet is live! Just push the Magic Button and join our Airlyft Campaign.
