Hello everyone,I would like to propose a reflection and a concrete idea, with the goal of opening a constructive discussion within the community.We are now in the last month of Q1 2026, and the Foundation, together with the Astar Collective, is driving a radical and very positive transformation: from the restructuring of dApp Staking with Tokenomics 3.0 and more disciplined mechanisms, to the parallel development of products that will represent the true future pillars of the ecosystem.Personally, I am genuinely enthusiastic about this phase: it has been a long time since I felt such focused, absolute, and exclusively Astar-oriented commitment. It is a strong and forward-looking signal.Precisely for this reason, I believe it is important to balance the current approach — solid, pragmatic, and product-led — with a complementary element that currently appears under-dimensioned.Our community is incredibly diverse in terms of nationalities, cultures, and backgrounds: this is one of the great strengths of Web3. Astar’s identity and operational philosophy have always had an Eastern matrix, focused on long-term building, technical depth, and sustainability. This is an enormous value and should not be altered.However, in today’s crypto market — extremely fast-paced, highly competitive, and also driven by narrative and perception — a balance is needed: the high-quality “roast” we are preparing must be accompanied by powerful “smoke”, meaning massive visibility, hype, aggressive storytelling, viral presence on key channels, direct engagement, and campaigns that immediately capture the attention of new users, investors, and builders.We have solid products coming and healthier tokenomics: to turn this potential into explosive adoption, we need that initial spark. As was often said in another blockchain we share several similarities with: “You can have the best product in the world, but if no one knows it exists and no one uses it… it doesn’t do much good.”This is not about criticizing the current direction (which I consider necessary), but about completing it with a more direct, “Western”, and at times aggressive approach to marketing, without compromising the project’s essence.Concrete Proposal:
Evaluate the establishment of a team dedicated exclusively to marketing and viral growth, with the following key characteristics:Professional and mixed composition: experts in modern crypto marketing (aggressive social strategies, influencers, meme culture, viral content, campaigns on X/Twitter, TikTok, etc.), including perspectives from Western markets to balance the approach.
Exclusive focus on hype-building, massive awareness, and rapid user acquisition, running in parallel (but distinct) to the Foundation’s product-oriented work and existing community activities.
Dedicated budget (to be defined), with clear and measurable KPIs: organic follower growth, mention volume, new active wallets, TVL increase from campaigns, etc.
Separate and complementary structure to existing community engagement initiatives, to ensure targeted and aggressive action on the narrative and promotional front.
I believe this synergy — solid roast + powerful smoke — could exponentially accelerate the ecosystem and maximize the results of the direction we have taken.I am open to feedback, objections, improvements, or counter-proposals.
