There is a problem with dapp staking that is not just about your project. Substantial updates should be posted in a public place other than personal social media, many dapps hide behind this way of doing things, trying to draw attention to the difference between dappstaking and ucg, but in fact even simple dappstaking should be updated here. not everyone is interested in the project, but those who control it should have access to the most important information. I’m thinking for example of amabssadors.
You reported a correct answer, but there is no need to whine, no one is pointing fingers, is it possible to share a post here every so often? There are millions of different social media and I repeat many dapps (I’m not talking about you) use this ploy to avoid having to share information about development (which is not there).
You don’t expect a huge activity from a memecoin from a technological point of view, but going on telegram I saw this:
Previously, Meme trends were quite strong. Currently, the trends may have shifted somewhat to other sectors. I’m not sure if the team sees any opportunities or obstacles from this situation. If the team has any update plans, please feel free to provide feedback as well. =)
Thanks for tagging me
I think it’s best to tag the team behind HAHA coin. It’s the community that decided to add them to dApp Staking, not Astar Foundation. If you would like to make changes and want to see if the community support your idea, feel free to create a proposal on the forum to start the discussion and public proposal on https://astar.subsquare.io/
I do not support dApp staking to finance memecoins in any way.
The case of DED on Polkadot speaks for itself—the disaster of trying to force a culture that does not exist in the ecosystem at the expense of inflation and losses for ASTR holders.
But this is against the rules @pitcoin777 . It is your personal idea that must be supported by breaking the rules. I remember that a few months ago you all trusted and had nice words for an improvised rapper. Where did he end up? He was in the top tier in defiance of projects that were hungry to grow and couldn’t… Honestly I don’t like that they don’t bring updates. There needs to be a serious change in the regulation on that topic, it would be easy to understand who is here to scam and who isn’t. Instead it is not done.
Then if it is a shitcoin that brings transactions to astar or an nft game or an artificial intelligence dapp it changes little in terms of using astar.
The problem is that not many things happen here and much else should be pointed out…
Man, again with this complete nonsense. And this time from an Ambassador…
What the actual **** does DED have to do with HAHA? The comparison is extremely disingenuous. HAHA didn’t steal from the treasury. HAHA didn’t backtrack on token promises. Honestly, it’s pathetic that you’re even trying to link the two. Are you this out of touch with the HAHA community, or just too lazy to bother learning the facts? Maybe both.
And let’s not ignore the fact that you’re an ambassador. For ****’s sake, why are you out here spreading false narratives and pushing a hurtful agenda? Instead of representing the ecosystem responsibly, you’re stirring **** for no reason other than, what, some personal vendetta against meme coins? Grow up and do better.
“the disaster of trying to force a culture that does not exist in the ecosystem at the expense of inflation and losses for ASTR holders”.
It’s just a zero-sum game—fun for some. For someone to win, someone else has to lose, lol. If the community sees value and the need for a product like this, then it’s okay… keep growing.
“I just do not support dApp staking to finance memecoins in any way”.
For me the solution is relatively simple, everyone has different opinions and it is not possible to get everyone to agree. In the case of HAHA in my opinion the same model that is used or will be used for other dApps could be applied. If the pre-established objectives are achieved it is good for dApp staking because it also allows financing degen projects if they are not achieved we move on to voting and a possible delisting.
Personally I thought the idea of using rewards for pure speculation was nice.
Meme coins are purely driven by hype and speculation, which makes them incredibly volatile. I’ve seen this pattern repeat countless times. Without real value or utility backing them, they’re like sandcastles, impressive for a moment but unsustainable in the long run. They don’t contribute to real ecosystem growth, just short-term noise.
If VD were smart enough, he wouldn’t ask AD to purchase on the secondary market or push for a listing on the dApp. That approach lacks strategy and doesn’t contribute to creating sustainable value.
If Solana has been successful, it’s entirely due to the strength of its community. I’m sorry, but right now there isn’t a single project in the ecosystem that has a strong community! If you’re going to interpret the meme culture, which has become an important aspect of Web3, with speculation here, then maybe the early posts Sota shared and later deleted after initially shilling shouldn’t have been erased. Haha did his best but didn’t get enough support.
While the ecosystem is starting to fade, and the price is in this state, instead of focusing on those striving for the ecosystem, maybe the real question should be why there’s still a “core contributor” section in dApp staking.
I’ve been away due to family issue and just recently came back to crypto. Haha’s mission was to get people excited about the new roll out of Astar ZkEVM. It was successful in getting people talk about Astar. Unfortunately I have been away and did not really have a chance to follow everything. learned Astar is migrating to Soneium and this really screw things up a little since the liquidity pool was locked in quickswap. The project is at the mercy of Quickswap migrating to Soneium and I’m sure the team is working behind the scene. Haha project has great intention and trying to do the right thing for the community. Not 1 cent was taking from Astar foundation or anyone, the founders funded everything. It’s sad to see project with good intention getting some of these negative comments. Just my 2 cents.
I don’t think it was on the Foundation to mention HAHA or do anything else. I believe the dApp staking system already gives enough liberty to organize Yourself and promote it in a way You consider the best for Your own project.
This is why I think the communication between holders and builders should be a priority.
I’m not sure if I’ve missed anything. Could I trouble the team with a few more questions? Regarding future plans with Soneium, what are the team’s plans for implementation?
Edit: @pitcoin777 for some reason the quote response was not included. @ ing you in response to the above message.
Thank you for the message and for forwarding the feedback.
As requested in the dApp Staking Assessment Survey, we provided a contact email for official communications regarding the project. That’s the channel where we expect formal feedback and where we’ve been checking for updates related to the survey.
I’m currently traveling, so unless a Telegram message is directly @’ed to me, it often doesn’t trigger a notification on my phone—especially with the number of spam messages I receive and community chats I’m involved in. It’s very easy for something to get buried, and I’d really hate to miss anything important.
If there was any issue sending responses to the provided email address (like a bounce or error), let me know and I’ll look into it right away. Otherwise, if it’s possible to forward the message there, I’d really appreciate it—the team monitors that inbox regularly.
That said, I’ve had a look on Telegram and we’ve now seen the feedback. While HAHA Coin, being a meme coin, operates a bit differently from traditional DeFi/NFT/etc. dApps, we understand the intent behind the input and will continue to approach things in a way that reflects the nature of our project and community.
I apologize for the misunderstanding. Since we previously communicated via Telegram, I assumed that direct communication would be appropriate. From now on, all correspondence will be conducted formally through the suggested email.
I confirm that the email has already been sent with the report and the Community Council’s feedback.
Thank you for your response, and once again, I apologize for the communication lapse.
