I would like to discuss in more detail the possibility of recovering the missing portion of the stolen funds. Since it is no longer possible to write in Discord, as the admins have restricted communication for all users, I suggest we discuss this here.
The team continues to ignore questions about compensation for the funds that could not be recovered. We also still have not seen the results of the investigation. Who is responsible, what exactly happened, and how was the attack carried out?
Please share your ideas so we can think this through together. I believe the team is not telling us the full story, and it may be worth contacting the police to help identify the hacker. Or has a report already been filed?
I agree, since posting on Neemo’s Discord has been disabled, I believe many people are left with lingering concerns.
Of course, I understand that the Neemo team is busy with post-incident processes, but it’s important not to forget that many users are still in a state of uncertainty. I believe at least a minimum level of communication is necessary, though at the same time delaying the post-incident work would also be problematic, which creates a dilemma.
@SeiyaChida , the community is asking about the timeline going forward. Of course, we understand that you have many tasks to handle and are very busy, but regardless of the actual situation, it’s necessary to maintain communication with the community.
We appreciate that Phase 1 has been reached for the time being, but beyond that, the path forward is unclear. Also, the community still has no report on the cause of the private key leak or the measures taken to address it. If things remain like this, more and more people will assume there will be no progress toward Phase 2. This situation is not desirable.
If you intend to close two-way communication channels, then more frequent announcements than before will be necessary.
What is the current status of Neemo? The community is feeling uneasy as there hasn’t been any activity for a while.
Is there anything you can announce to them?
@Maarten , would it be possible for you to reach out to them?
I got the following message from Seiya, so let me share it here with everyone.
Message from Neemo Finance:
We will be making a public announcement about the acquisition soon. As for Discord, it is open. We’re not ignoring users, but we’ve already disclosed all the information that can be shared at this time. As I may have explained before, only the announcement channel and ticket page is open. This is because we’ve had issues with scam links, repetitive questions, and users asking about details that are still under discussion or not yet finalized.
We are already in continued discussions with Untitled Bank and are taking the appropriate steps. Now that liquidation has been completed on the UB side, the UB team will soon publish the claim page announcement.
As for further compensation, it is progressing step by step. But please keep in mind that this is a long-term process. Exploring new markets, securing partners, and building the right protocol all take time. That said, the acquisition is already confirmed, and we will be issuing an official announcement shortly. Thanks for your understanding. I won’t run away and surely i’ll do compensation. But it takes a little bit more time for announcement. Please be patient and expect something coming from our side soon!
Message from my side:
We need to understand that rebuilding a hacked protocol takes time. Even if follow-ups are requested, they need to spend their limited time and resources working toward recovery. I’ll keep communicating with the team to ensure Astar holders are up-to-date when more information is needed.
Thanks @Maarten for communication and @you425 for bringing up the topic.
To go through this type of situation that is very sensitive and where trust is highly requested, it would be really great to see active engagement from @SeiyaChida or @psneemo or other Neemo Finance team members.
I fully understand that the process takes time. However, for affected users, this isn’t always apparent, so simply asking them to “understand” is difficult.
At the very least, establishing and announcing regular progress updates—such as every two weeks or once a month—would prevent unnecessary friction. This would be beneficial for both Neemo and its users.
Neemo Finance has been acquired by Zoth.io on agreed terms. Both teams were battle-tested—our comeback is security-first. Plugged into Zoth’s full-stack Stablecoin OS, our LST/LRT + Vault infra will power the next Atlas / ZeUSD. We’ll prove our resilience and keep shipping with the Zoth team.
To Neemo users: under the acquisition terms, a budget for further compensation has been allocated for the impacted users. We’ll publish a dedicated post once finalized.
Other updates
UB team will soon publish the claim page announcement
Hello Neemo Team,
I’m happy to see some new updates and that you’ve organized to move your project forward with a new collaboration/acquisition that can help not only your development but also continue (with the proper timing) the reimbursement plan for all Neemo users.
Please make sure to keep the community updated on all developments
