Greetings, first of all, I like that you operate in other ecosystems that I am used to, but there are points I do not understand.
For example, how exactly is it used? Is it blocked with integration for the wallet or does it work as a browser extension?
As for wallet integration, RabbyWallet provides this service for free*? Why wouldn’t I choose it?
On another topic, could you please send us the data you have obtained with your study on Astar users? I would like to observe the threats you have detected.
The project is very good and I would like to support it. After getting answers to these questions, of course. I am not positive in its current form. I will support you when I find answers to the questions.
Honestly it is the first time I see ChainPatrol, but visiting your website I realize that you have worked with great protocols such as Starknet and Arbitrum, which generates me the following intrigue, can you see your results on other protocols? The amount of bad actors blocked at least?
Threats in the ecosystem have increased, I feel that this project has a unique and necessary utility for Astar, it would be good to see progress periodically and bring to the forum specific cases of the control they exert on malicious activities in Astar.
We have direct integrations with the wallets and provide our blocklist data to them. A user simply has to have the Wallet Extension installed to benefit from our Wallet Network.
The blocklist data that Rabby receives is provided by efforts such as ours - they don’t actually perform the threat detection service (we are also currently in talks with Rabby on both an integration and to be a brand protection customer).
The important thing to remember is that with this proposal, we will be the team that is actively monitoring for threats targeting Astar and will SHARE this information across our entire Wallet Network.
As for the specific data from our study, we would be happy to add any users to our dashboard, given that the Astar team provides approval. We wanted to use this as a forum to provide a summary of our study, and will provide ongoing threat reports moving forward. Here are a few threats that we have discovered in our case study for reference:
Hey, thank you for the quickly response, I’ve been able to see your work and it’s very interesting! So, now I think it is important to have you as an ally in our ecosystem.
Thank you very much for the proposal. On one hand, I agree that security is really important, on the other hand, this is my first time heard about ChainPatrol, I am probably not having enough knowledge to evaluate so I will do abstain. I hope ChainPatrol can provide more examples and data about what they do to help with the Astar and why it is important, and how many Astar users already benefit from this service, where can I check the monthly Thread Snapshot Reports about Astar?
Security matters and means a lot! Voted YES, and glad to see that the updated proposal with smooth communication among the involved parties. It would be even greater if there will be some tutorials or similar for future users to interact with the reporting bot provided!
Hi @Gaius_sama , thank you and the rest of the team and community for your consideration throughout the proposal. We are very excited to provide ongoing protection for the Astar community!!
