🗳️ Proposal to Delist KEKKAI from dApp Staking

Submitted by: Astar Community Council Member AstarHood
Date: 2025/04/19

Summary

This post serves as an official proposal from the Astar Community Council to delist KEKKAI from the Astar Network dApp Staking Portal. The proposal outlines the rationale behind the suggested delisting and invites the community to review and provide feedback in accordance with governance procedures.

The primary reason for this proposal is due to inactivity, violation of community standards, and failure to meet performance criteria.

Project Information

:cross_mark: Reason for Delisting Proposal

The Astar Community Council recommends the delisting of KEKKAI for the following reasons:

  • Rebranding with no community update: KEKKAI has taken many measures to pivot and rebrand to “Alpha Network” and has not demonstrated any development activity or community engagement for the past numerous months regarding their past product KEKKAI as proposed in the forum, indicating possible abandonment of it.
  • Non-compliance: Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct guidelines and expectations set forth by the Astar Community Council, including but not limited to:
    • Lack of transparency with the community
    • Failure to meet the deadlines specified in the guidelines or by the Council/Community.
  • Lack of Value Contribution: The project has not demonstrated meaningful contribution to the Astar ecosystem in terms of TVL, community participation, or on-chain activity.

  3. Enactment of delisting if approved.
  4. Notification to KEKKAI (on forum) and final removal from the dApp staking list.

The details of the delisting are quite thorough and very clear. As far as I understand, the project in question has had virtually no updates. If the team has any updates, they can notify us. In this case, if there is no additional update information from the team, I fully support the proposals. =)

Thank you for the detailed investigation! > @AstarHood

KEKKAI’s solution was highly valuable, so it’s unfortunate. On the other hand, this might be characteristic of startups, but we would have appreciated proper communication with the community when the company’s policies or strategies changed.

Thanks for the proposal, I agree with this suggestion!
I remember hearing the other day that KEKKAI pivoted in content and became a different project. It should be delisted for sure.

Cleaning dapp staking is the key > focus in what really contributes to our ecosystem.
I am 100% in favor.

Thanks for the details. Based on the clear evidence and history, it is indeed unfortunate but delisting should be considered.

Thank you for the investigation! I also checked it, the project had not much update, although I still see some updates on X, it would be good to hear any explanation for the rebrand issue and meaningful contribution to Astar from the KEKKAI team.

Agree that it would have been nice to hear an explanation, but the team has not tended to our attempts to contact and request to fill out the survey.

Given the 4+ days for discussion have now passed, I do propose to the rest of the Community Council to move this to the onchain vote phase. Thank you all for the comments and continued contributions to elevating our dapp staking portal.
