Aradia: UCG Program Application — Second Round

Hello community!

At Aradia, we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have participated in the first round of the UCG initiative. This program has been the cornerstone of our development, opening the doors for us to build within the Astar ecosystem and allowing us to focus on what truly matters: creating utility and driving genuine demand. Over the past four months, we have dedicated ourselves to providing tools that simplify the Web3 experience, as detailed in our Aradia Final Report: Building Bridges and Strengthening the Astar Ecosystem.

Achievements Recap

Our first round was dedicated to laying a solid foundation for the community, aiming to create an “all-in-one” toolkit that serves both creators and users:

  • Tools: We successfully launched our ERC-20 and ERC-721 factories on both Mainnet and Testnet.

  • Community Gateway: We had the honor of being the official infrastructure for users to visualize the Astar Burndrop Passport, marking a significant milestone in our collaboration with the network.

  • Asset Visualization: We implemented full support for NFT and ERC-20 asset visualization, allowing users to view their holdings on both Mainnet and Testnet directly from their profile.

  • Aradia Refuel: We developed the Aradia Refuel system, designed to facilitate the exchange of ETH for ASTR and solve liquidity friction regarding gas fees within the ecosystem.

  • Growing Interest: We have seen a consistent flow of thousands of unique visitors who use Aradia as their entry point to explore what Astar has to offer.

Second Round Objectives

We see Soneium as a vital partner for growth. Due to the availability of faster integration tools, we plan to implement our newest features on Soneium first. This “speed-to-market” approach allows us to test and refine new functions rapidly, ensuring the protocol becomes self-sustainable sooner. By establishing a strong presence there, we can funnel more resources and attention back into the broader ecosystem.

While Soneium offers a fast track for new features, our commitment to Astar remains a top priority. We are working every day to finalize the tools we have already started, such as the Crowdfund Factory and the Refuel Vaults. We are building the necessary infrastructure from the ground up where it doesn’t yet exist, ensuring that Astar users have a robust, reliable, and native set of tools to interact with the blockchain daily.

We are working on integrating liquidity aggregators to make Aradia a central hub for users. Our main goal is to ensure that every new feature we launch provides direct utility to the ASTR token. We want to create a cycle where value is constantly fed back into the ecosystem’s liquidity, helping the network grow even in challenging market conditions.

We are moving beyond being “just an NFT marketplace.” The next phase of Aradia is about daily utility. We are adding features that users need every day—from better asset visualization to easier ways to join and participate in the community. We want Aradia to be the first tab you open when you start your day in the Astar and Soneium world.

Consistency is our promise. Just as we did in the first round, we will provide punctual and detailed monthly reports. We believe in showing our work openly, sharing every milestone reached and every challenge overcome. Our goal is to stay close to the community, listening to your feedback and building the tools you actually want to use.

We are ready to keep building, see you onchain :chains::ringed_planet:

Hello @Aradia team!

We appreciate your proposal to renew your slot within the UCG Program. You definitely delivered strong results during your Round 1.

However, the Astar Community Council is currently discussing and deciding the future of the UCG Program, taking into account the upcoming changes to Tokenomics and dApp Staking.

With this in mind, we will not be accepting new applications to the UCG Program for the time being, until the ACC has a clear structure to share with the community, which will be soon.

We appreciate your patience on this matter. :folded_hands:

Hello @Community_Council do we have any news regarding this topic?

Hi @Aradia! The ACC team has already decided on a new strategy for what was previously called the UCG Program (Unstoppable Community Grant). This new direction aims to continue supporting projects that are part of dApp Staking, but with a different approach.

All of these details will be shared with the community through a formal document next week.

We appreciate your patience on this matter, as it has been a productive discussion within the ACC team. :folded_hands:

Hello Astar community and council

We are writing this update to formally request reconsideration of Aradia’s participation in the second round of the UCG initiative, and to share the real progress we have made since our first round wrapped up.

What we have built so far

Since our last report, the Aradia team has not stopped building. We have been doing the hard, unglamorous work of constructing real infrastructure for the Astar ecosystem.

We have successfully indexed over 4,600 NFT collections on Astar, applying active metadata filtering to ensure quality and relevance. We are currently crawling and indexing additional NFTs and transactions in real time. Our numbers stand at over 1.5 million transactions and nearly 1.3 million NFTs indexed and those figures grow every single day.

You can verify this live at aradia.app the platform is live, and constantly evolving.

UCG support would directly allow us to cover these ongoing infrastructure costs in a sustainable way, instead of the team personally carrying a financial burden that grows as the platform scales.

UCG funding would allow us to inject the necessary liquidity into the Refuel vaults, finally activating one of the most practical and user-facing tools we have built. This directly benefits every new user entering the Astar ecosystem who needs ASTR to pay for gas a friction point that currently pushes people away before they even get started.

Why Aradia deserves a second round

Aradia was never meant to be just an NFT marketplace. Our vision is to become the most complete utility hub for Astar and Soneium users a single place where people can manage their assets, access liquidity, discover collections, and participate in the ecosystem without friction.

Here is what continued UCG support would allow us to do:

  • Cover infrastructure costs that the team has been personally subsidizing, making the project financially sustainable ATM
  • Activate the Refuel vaults with real liquidity, solving one of the most concrete onboarding pain points in the ecosystem
  • Expand our indexing infrastructure to cover every collection and transaction, giving the community the most complete on-chain explorer on Astar
Improve the user experience for daily on-chain activity. We are adding features that real users need every day better portfolio visualization, easier collection discovery, cleaner transaction history, and smoother wallet interactions. The goal is for Aradia to be the first tab you open when you start your day in the Astar ecosystem, not just a marketplace you visit once.

Our commitment

We understand that trust is earned through consistency. In our first round, we delivered monthly reports and hit our milestones. We are not asking for blind faith we are asking for the opportunity to keep proving ourselves. The indexing numbers, the live platform, and the roadmap we have laid out are evidence that this team executes

Supporting Aradia in Round 2 is a direct investment in native, sustainable utility for the ASTR token. We are ready to keep building.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hello @aradia and congratulations on your work

Currently, Aradia is ranked among the top 16 in dApp Staking.
According to this post, the Community Treasury may stake on selected dApps considered deserving.

I believe Aradia could benefit from this and potentially receive dApp Staking rewards.

I have a few questions:

  1. Are you planning to deploy your marketplace on Soneium?
  2. In the event that the game Yoki Arena is launched, would you be open to listing its NFTs (yoki + equipment) on your platform to enable the exchanges (sending/buying/selling)?

I am planning:

  • 5 types of yoki and 50 object/equipment per region
  • 3 regions at launch
  • each yoki and each object/equipment would have specific attributes.

Hello! GuiGou Thank you so much for the kind words

Yes, absolutely Soneium is on our roadmap. That said, our current focus is on solidifying our presence on Astar first, precisely because the tooling and infrastructure there is more limited. Everything we have built so far on Astar indexers, factories, the Refuel system has been developed internally from scratch, because the native tools simply didn’t exist yet. Deploying on Soneium will likely be faster and smoother, given the richer tooling ecosystem available there.

We would absolutely love to be part of that initiative. Supporting Yoki Arena, is exactly the kind of real use case Aradia is built for. We are here for the community, and building on-demand for projects like this is something we genuinely enjoy doing.

More broadly, if anyone in the Astar or Soneium community has ideas, requests, or integrations they would like to see built we would be honored to make them happen. That is what we are here for.

Let’s build together :handshake:
