Astake dApp Staking Proposal

Hi @Adam_Astake,

Before the Community Council can proceed with voting on your dApp Staking application, we kindly ask you to submit the following:

  • An Astar Native wallet (Polkadot). You may use wallet providers such as Talisman, Subwallet, Novawallet, or Polkadot.js.
  • One of your smart contract addresses deployed on Astar Native (WASM) or Astar EVM.

For more details, please refer to the documentation: Astar dApp Staking Guide.

Regarding your application, I’m personally willing to support it, as I believe LST projects bring significant value to our ecosystem and that the expansion of the ASTR token on Soneium is a positive development. However, I’d like to highlight a key principle within dApp Staking: developer rewards should primarily be used for product development and ecosystem growth, rather than serving as direct incentives or kickbacks to attract stakers.

Within the Astar ecosystem, it’s common practice to allocate a maximum of 25% to 50% of developer rewards for such incentives.

I strongly recommend limiting your design to returning no more than 50% of rewards to Astake users, as this consideration could influence the votes of several council members.

Thank you for the valuable insights sir! @Gaius_sama !

Will be submitting the required addresses in another reply to the proposal (as we currently cannot further edit the post)

We firmly believe our approach is well-aligned, with the proportion of dApp Staking rewards redistributed to Astake users unlikely to exceed 50%. This ensures a balance between user incentives and sustainable protocol growth while adhering to the ecosystem’s code of conduct.

Appreciate your recommendation!

Thank you, we will proceed to the vote.

  1. Make sure to fund your Astar Native wallet with 10 ASTR minimum.

  2. Make sure to verify your smart-contract on blockscout.

Thank you very much to the team for the answers to various points, which helped me see the bigger picture and understand the project even better. Additionally, in terms of promotion, what are the team’s plans?

Besides engaging with partner DeFi protocols to unlock more use cases and extra yield opportunities for users. We are actively working to increase awareness, such as hosting Spaces on X.
Additionally, we’re deepening integrations, including adding a one-click minting feature on partner AMMs and expanding to more dApp types like prediction market to drive adoption.to conclude:

  • More use case
  • Boosting social awareness
  • Deepening integrations
  • expanding to more dApp types

These promotional efforts should help us reach more users and drive growth.

Hello Adam,

I hope this message finds you well.

As part of ACC efforts to improve user understanding of the projects available through dApp Staking, I’d like to kindly ask if you could update the Astake dApp description page on the Astar Portal. The goal is to provide users with clear and up-to-date information, such as:

  • What Astake is and how it supports the Astar Network & Sonieum and its community,

  • Who the current team members are,

  • The most recent achievements of Astake on Astar Network & Soneium.

If possible, it would be great to have this page updated before the next voting period begins (in 37 days from today).

Additionally, we encourage you to share at least one post per Build-to-Earn period in the dApp Staking Reports category on the Astar Forum. A short summary of Astake’s recent developments and/or partnerships on Astar Network and/or Soneium would be very valuable for the community.

Thank you very much in advance for your support and for helping the community better understand Astake’s impact.

Best regards,
