Applications are now open for Astar Peers Program Season 3.1.
The Peers Program strengthens the decentralization of Astar Network through community-operated archive nodes. It also gives participants practical experience with Linux and blockchain infrastructure.
For Season 3.1, we plan to select five node operators.

Why the Peers Program?
A decentralized network becomes stronger when its infrastructure is operated by more people across more regions.
The Peers Program helps community members:
- Contribute directly to the resilience of Astar Network
- Gain hands-on experience operating a blockchain node
- Build practical Linux and infrastructure skills
- Connect with other technical contributors in the Astar community
To improve geographic diversity, preference will be given to applicants from:
- South America
- Africa
- West Asia
- Southeast Asia
- Australia
Who Can Apply?
You may apply if you:
- Have basic Linux experience
- Can prepare an ARM or x86_64 machine
- Can provide at least 4 GB of RAM; 8 GB or more is recommended
- Can provide at least 3 TB of HDD or SSD storage
- Can run an Astar archive node and connect it to Polkadot Telemetry
- Can aim for at least 80% monthly uptime
- Are willing to register the required on-chain identity
You do **not** need to have a node running before you apply. Selected participants will receive the information needed to prepare and begin operating their nodes.

Rewards
The base reward is USD 30 equivalent per month, paid in ASTR. It is intended to help cover part of the cost of operating a node.
- 100% reward: monthly uptime of 80% or more
- 50% reward: monthly uptime below 80%
- 30% reward: a reported and confirmed restoration or resynchronization period
- No reward: the node is inactive or discontinued, or the required on-chain identity is not registered
If more than one condition applies, the published priority rules will be used. Please review the full Rewards and Payments policy before applying.
