I’m Mouthmouth68 and would like to apply for a Community Council position.
I’m currently located in a UTC−5 timezone, and I am fluent in both English and French.

Background:
For those who do not know me, I’ve been part of Astar Eco since the Astar Crowdloan and have been a member of the Astar Degens Council for the past 1.5 years. I’m currently entrusted with managing the DAO treasury since @0xRamz stepped down from being a council member.
Within the DAO, I’ve been actively involved with the DAO community on Discord and Telegram, I’ve organized many of our social campaigns, and worked to connect the DAO and keep contact with other teams and projects of Astar Network such as Algem, NEET, Kaiso Finance, Metasky, Lucky, ApeXChimpz, and many others.
I’ve also been involved in several French- and English-speaking Astar and Polkadot-based communities to stay connected and keep track of developments in the ecosystem.
Additionally, I’ve been active on the Astar forum, participating in discussions on various topics, including the initial concept of dApp staking V3 and its recent improvements, as I enjoy contributing my thoughts on Astar ecosystem-related subjects.
What’s important to me is that our ecosystem is fair and honest for everyone (holders, projects), creating a motivating environment that promotes win-win situations. Therefore, I am not afraid to challenge the status quo or go against the current narrative when I find it unfair or biased or not in the interest of Astar ecosystem. -
Qualifications:
In my professional life, I’m an engineer and a project manager in environmental fields. While I may not have deep technical knowledge in programming or blockchain, I can still understand what is happening in these areas and follow basic to mediumly technical discussion realted to blockchain. I am also accustomed to supervising multi-million-dollar projects, including managing budgets and approving supplier and subcontractor bills, which could be useful in this position. This is well demonstrated through my role in AD DAO council. -
Motivation and Plans:
As mentioned above, I strive for a fair and honest environment in the Astar Ecosystem for both projects and community members. However, I sometimes feel that the Astar core team focuses too much on their own agenda and makes decisions without proper transparency or community consultation. I would like to be a bridge between the Astar community and Astar core team. -
Track Record:
During my brief time as a DAO council member, I’ve, in addition to managing the DAO treasury, worked with the AD council to implement several new features, including:
- Astar Degen Grant, which uses the AD treasury to support small projects at T4 and T3 levels, similar to UCG (projects such as Lucky, Kaiso Finance, NEET Labs, Metasky, DeStore, ApeXChimpz, and CandyGirl have been recipients of AD Grants)
- A new rewards claim system for our dApp staker using the Airlyft platform
- The Astar Degen BuyBack program
- Astar Degen Raffle using the NEET Raffle, which was performed on Astar zkEVM until it was shut down (currently hosted on Base while waiting for Soneium)
- The Astar Degen Newsletter, managed by @Jonas1
- Astar Degen diversification fund, which aims to generate income for the DAO out of Astar to finance our AD NFT BuyBack, monthly dividends for NFT holders in ASTR, and future AD DAO investments in Astar/Soneium
- Weekly follow-ups on our investments performances to the community
- Initiated the production of a token bulk dispatcher on Astar ZkEVM by NEET labs
- Astar Governance channel in AD Dao aiming to discuss gouvernance proposal on Astar TownHall and vote with DAO bag according to consencuss reach within the DAO
- I’ve introduced/connected projects and people such as NEET Labs to Astar Network and some of its keys actors

Availability:
Due to my work, family commitments, and involvement in the Astar Degen Council, I cannot guarantee that I will always be able to dedicate at least the 10 hours per week mentioned by @Gaius_sama, as these other engagement have their own busy periods too. However, I will definitely dedicate the time required to perform my duties if entrusted with this position. -
