Community Driven Proposal to Improve the Astar Ambassador Fellowship (AAF) Program

Proposal for Astar Forum

Introduction

Hello everyone have a great week ahead As active members of the Astar ecosystem, we propose several improvements to enhance the Ambassador experience, increase content quality, scale regional growth and strengthen alignment with Astar’s Phase 2 strategy

These suggestions are realistic, lightweight to implement and directly beneficial to both the community and the Foundation

1) Introduce a Dedicated Track for Content Creators

Problem:

Current tasks are too generic and don’t fully support high quality content creators

Solution:

Create a “Content Creation Track” with:

  • Clear content specific tasks

  • Fair reward bands for high effort content

  • Metrics based evaluation (engagement, views, retention)

  • Growth Dashboard for creators

2) Regional Task Pools

Each region (Japan, Turkey, Europe…) should have:

  • Localized tasks

  • Local campaigns

  • Local KPIs

This increases community relevance and engagement

3) Bonus Rewards for Viral Content

Why:

Viral posts create disproportionate value

Proposal:

  • 10k+ impressions → bonus

  • 50k+ → automatic milestone boost

  • 100k+ → ASTR bonus

  • Viral content → Exceptional Task

4) Cross Ecosystem Tasks

Create shared tasks with:

  • Startale App

  • Soneium

  • Plaza

  • New dApps

This increases collaboration across the entire ecosystem

5) Fast Track Path for Future Head Ambassadors

If a contributor meets:

  • 3 months of consistent activity

  • 5,000+ Astar Points

  • Proven leadership

  • Active regional community

  • Clear monthly KPIs

→ They become eligible for the Head Ambassador Fast Track Path

6) Monthly Astar Ambassador Masterclasses

Focus on:

  • Content creation

  • Data analysis

  • Web3 fundamentals

  • Mini App development

  • Startale App technical training

Goal: raise the professional level of ambassadors

7) Establish Regional Astar Hubs

For example:

  • Turkey Hub

  • Japan Hub

  • MENA Hub

Ambassadors collaborate in structured teams → better outputs

8) Transparent Task Review System

Add:

  • “Reason for rejection”

  • Detailed feedback

  • Guaranteed review time (within 7 days)

I see several interesting suggestions! Hopefully the Foundation can review them carefully and identify what could be adapted to meet the goals of the program.

I would only disagree with the proposed timeline for Head Ambassadors. I don’t believe this title should be reachable within just three months of involvement. We have members community members and ambassador who have been contributing to the project for more than four years — reputation within the community should be built and rewarded over time.

In my view, three months is closer to a trial period, even for standard ambassadors. A role with higher responsibility and visibility should reflect long-term commitment, consistency, and trust earned over an extended period.

Three months isn’t even enough time to fully understand Astar’s long journey — from the early days of Plasm to Shiden/Astar, then Astar zkEVM, and now Soneium. Astar has a deep and evolving history that deserves careful stewardship, and I don’t believe someone with only three months of involvement would be the ideal person to represent or communicate that.

There are many interesting ideas that the team can take as inspiration to keep improving the AFF program. I completely agree with this point :

viral content is very powerful and plays an important role, and if a user or ambassador is able to create it, it’s only fair that they receive some bonus rewards.

I’ve always been supportive of content targeting based on region, and I think creating campaigns or tasks tailored to different areas is a good move to foster local engagement.

In the future, it could also be interesting to introduce actual regional challenges, where different parts of the world compete to earn the most points or complete the most tasks — with rewards in ASTR, NFTs, and similar incentives.

Like @pitcoin777 , I’m also not fully aligned with this point.
The Head Ambassador role is the highest-level position, and I don’t think it makes sense for someone to potentially reach it after just a few months of contribution (even if they’ve delivered strong results).

To become a Head Ambassador, a person needs to build a solid background over time — both in terms of technical understanding and trust from the team and the community. These are elements that can only be developed through consistent contribution and long-term support, not just through short-term achievements.

Hi @0xMR_IMAN, thank you for taking the time to create this new forum post seeking to improve the program. It’s exactly what we need as an ecosystem and community, to care and take action.

Regarding your points, several aspects that you mention are already covered in our documentation as actions that will be carried out. Did you read the document in detail?

On the other hand, I appreciate @pitcoin777 and @SimonB for participating in the conversation. The ACC is part of the leadership of this initiative.

Great discussion here, it’s good to see both contributors and ACC members exploring ways to strengthen the AFF program. A few thoughts from an ambassador perspective:

Viral content: Fully agree this deserves special handling. High-reach posts bring outsized visibility, so having structured bonuses (with clear thresholds) feels like the right direction. It also helps motivate creators who consistently push beyond basic tasks.

Regional task pools: Localization is essential. Communities move at different speeds and care about different narratives, so regional KPIs and campaigns would make the program much more relevant. Regional challenges are a fun idea, light competition can generate strong engagement if designed well.

Head Ambassador track: Fast-tracking makes sense for future leadership roles, but the bar for Head Ambassador should remain high. Beyond output, the role depends heavily on long-term trust, reliability, and ecosystem understanding, those aren’t built in a few months, even with strong performance.

Overall, these suggestions show how much the program is evolving. Aligning them with the existing documentation and clarifying what’s already planned vs. what could be added should help everyone track progress more clearly.

Thank you for addressing these issues.

I support your thoughts on viral content and regional task pools.

We should definitely increase the importance given to viral content to introduce Astar to the global ecosystem.

Additionally, whether it’s Regional Astar Hubs or SubDAOs… whatever the case may be, the campaigns that need to be run for each culture and region are different, and such structures should be established to act quickly and provide technical, financial, or marketing support to regional projects when needed.

Thank you! I do see a lot of valuable ideas, like the regional task pools, and also bonus rewards for the viral content, they are all great ideas! I also agree with @pitcoin777 that the head amabassadors should take longer time to achieve, 3 months is not long enough.
