This cross-chain off-chain governance platform looks really interesting and fully aligned with the focus of the Astar ecosystem.

I see strong potential especially for projects that are active in other ecosystems (in particular on Soneium), since it would enable them to run votes, surveys, and governance processes using the ASTR token, wherever it is located (L1 or L2).

This kind of tool could be very useful for expanding ASTR’s utility and supporting multi-chain dApps.

Of course always happy to answer questions.

On 1. We are still live on Taiko but in all honesty, general uptake there has been lower than our initial thoughts and discussions with the foundation team. BeraVote is live on Berachain and was hugely successful in terms of spaces created and proposals published in the first few months. The activity on Berachain has died down a bit and we’re seeing lower volumes these days. We had also launched our “one-click governance” API with a couple launchpads which have now faded away.

There are small differences compared to other competitiors in the governance space like UI and UX (we allow direct commenting on a proposal instead of needng a third party forum site for example). We are much cheaper. We have a pricing scheme usually but to really embed ourselves in the Astar ecosystem we determined dApp staking was the best way to go. And finally we’re always shipping. Things like our API and our Incentivisation feature are first to markets for governance tools. We hope to continue up this speed to deliver novel, useful solutions.

  • You mentioned that Astar Network is already integrated. Are there any references or use cases that demonstrate this? I came across this page, but it currently shows no data.

  3. After approval, your dApp will be officially whitelisted and able to register on the Astar Portal under dApp Staking.

@BoomBLB Astar Degens has already hosted its first online meetup, and we’re looking forward to exploring governance topics in greater depth. One example is enabling community members to vote on AD matters when their NFT is held in their wallet or staked in the new contract (across both chains). To strengthen fairness and transparency, I believe it’s time for the AD DAO to move away from Discord polls (such as pre-votes on Astar Governance Proposals) and transition fully to on-chain voting.
