What is D8A?

D8A is a non-custodial, multi-chain transaction platform built for Ethereum, Astar EVM, Astar Native, Solana and Polkadot. It is designed to make blockchain interactions accessible to everyone — sending tokens, swapping, bridging cross-chain, staking, or interacting with smart contracts — all from a single, shareable URL.

Every transaction on D8A is a link. You can share it in a chat, forum, embed it in a website, add it to an invoice, or add it to a mobile/web app. The recipient lands on a pre-filled transaction page and simply completes the transaction. No accounts, no custody, no complexity.

D8A has been building since the early days of Astar and brought a lot of users to the Astar ecosystem.

Transaction Types

  • Send — Transfer native tokens or ERC-20s to any address or ENS name, with URL pre-fill

  • Sign — Sign any message or transaction with your wallet

  • Swap — DEX aggregator swaps across Astar EVM and Ethereum

  • Bridge — ASTR ↔ ETH bridging via Chainlink CCIP (Astar EVM ↔ Ethereum)

  • Stake — ASTR staking via Astar Native

  • Multi-step Flows — Combine transactions into a sequence to complete them all in sequence.

  • Airdrops — Create and manage on-chain airdrops with Telegram, Discord, and soon twitter

  • Multisend — Distribute tokens to hundreds of wallets in a single transaction

  • Invoices — Shareable payment request links

  • Contract Interactions — Call any EVM or Substrate pallet extrinsic via a URL, with pre-filled parameter templates for all Astar Native L1 pallets (dAppStaking, assets, balances, xcmPallet, system)

  • Discord Bot — Wallet linking and airdrop handling.

  • Decentraland — Our in-world kiosk at coordinates (13, -1) historically made a large marketing push for Astar with over 200,000 unique ethereum addresses visits since its launch. Which also offers wallet linking with Ethereum/Polkadot/Solana..

Why D8A Belongs in dApp Staking

D8A is a unique infrastructure product in the Astar ecosystem. No other dApp offers:

  1. Shareable transaction URLs — lower the barrier for non-technical users to participate in Astar-based transactions without needing to construct them manually.

  2. Cross-chain accessibility — D8A is one of the only tools that lets users bridge assets from Solana to Astar.

  3. Airdrop infrastructure — The D8A airdrop platform with social verification (Telegram, Discord & Twitter) provides unique value for projects building communities on Astar who need to distribute tokens quickly to their community.

  4. On-chain education — The contract interaction page with full Substrate pallet support (pre-filled templates for all native extrinsics) is a hands-on way for developers and non-developers alike to understand Astar Native L1 at a practical level. This directly supports mass adoption.

  5. Metaverse presence — D8A has a sustained, organically growing presence in Decentraland. We have built many games with Astar always by our side.

Team + Costs

The whole of the project is run by one guy and one server. I have been involved with Astar since the start and participated in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Lockdrop.

Roadmap

  1. Public testing of airdrops — I currently have a few groups testing the airdrop features live.. (One of the feedbacks has been to increase the amount of compatible wallets.)

  2. Improve custom airdrop contracts — Smarter on-chain distribution with different methods.

  3. Twitter launch campaign — Run a viral campaign with the airdrop mechanics

  4. Host more Decentraland events — expand in-world presence, daily card game competitions

  5. Prediction bot as a product — launch as a subscription or token-gated tool

  6. Upgrading Substrate support — Astar is always evolving and we have kept up with the pace of development. (Even before AI. :sweat_smile:)

Previous dApp Staking History

D8A was previously listed in dApp staking and was delisted following the UCG and dApp staking rule updates. We support the cleanup and reduction of inactive dApps but believe D8A should be relisted because:

  • We are actively developing and helping astar increase its community by making it easier to access its ecosystem

  • We are uniquely positioned — no other dApp provides this breadth of transaction tooling for Astar users.

  • We have demonstrated what can be achieved during our UCG campaign.

  • We are committed to continuous improvement and expanding our toolset to meet the evolving needs of the Astar community

  • We have a proven track record of delivering value to the Astar community.

  • Dapp staking verification increases the credibility of the product.

Summary

D8A is infrastructure. It makes Astar usable for everyone — from crypto-native developers calling pallet extrinsics, to newcomers sending their first transaction from a shared link. I have been here for years actively shipping, and growing the astar ecosystem from behind the scenes. I ask for your support to continue building the best transaction toolkit on Astar.

We appreciate the initiative and the work put into this submission. The Council is conducting a thorough analysis to ensure it aligns with our current strategic goals and the broader ecosystem requirements.

We are committed to providing a transparent process; therefore, you can expect a formal update and our final decision on this proposal no later than next week.

Thank you for your patience, and I want to start by apologizing for the delay in delivering this response. We committed to sharing the ACC’s decision within a week, and it took longer than expected. That’s on us, and I appreciate your understanding.

After reviewing the full application internally and gathering feedback from all ACC members, here is our consolidated position.

The ACC does not support this application as currently submitted.

This is not a rejection of D8A as a project. The ACC recognizes that D8A has a real, functional product with verifiable features, a genuine ASTR integration through native staking, Chainlink CCIP bridging, and full Substrate pallet compatibility, and a long track record within the Astar ecosystem dating back to the Lockdrop period. That history and that technical work are acknowledged.

However, after internal discussion, the ACC has identified three concerns that prevent us from moving forward at this stage.

1. Absence of current on-chain metrics

The application does not include usage data for the current period. Before any approval can be considered, the ACC would need to see the following:

  • Monthly active wallets interacting with D8A contracts over the last 90 days on Astar EVM and Native
  • Total transaction volume processed through the platform over the last 90 days
  • Number of unique addresses that have used each core feature: bridge, swap, staking, and airdrop
  • Any measurable impact on the Astar ecosystem: new wallet activations, TVL movement, or on-chain activity attributable to D8A

A working product is the baseline expectation, not the differentiator. The relevant question is whether adoption is growing, stable, or declining. Without this data, the ACC cannot make an objective evaluation aligned with the standards we are applying consistently across the program.

2. Single-developer sustainability risk

Multiple ACC members independently flagged this concern. With dApp Staking now operating with a limited number of slots and clear continuity expectations attached to each one, a project that depends entirely on a single developer running on a single server carries meaningful operational risk for the ecosystem. This is not a disqualifying factor on its own, but it is a material consideration that needs to be addressed — either through a plan for team expansion, documented contingency procedures, or both.

3. Absence of a clear strategic direction

The ACC appreciates the consistent development effort over the years. However, the application does not articulate a coherent strategy for how D8A intends to grow adoption, onboard new users, or generate measurable ecosystem ROI going forward. Shipping features is valuable, but the ACC needs to understand how those features translate into sustained activity and impact for the Astar Collective.

What would change our position

This is not a permanent decision. If the team can provide the on-chain metrics listed above, present a clear strategic plan with defined objectives and measurable targets, and address the sustainability question around the single-developer structure, the ACC is open to reviewing a resubmission.

  1. Crypto in general is having very low usage. Currently I have 42 unique people that have used on-chain features since our re-launch in March. I still feel that I’m at a very early stage for my project as I have new features getting ready to ship hopefully by October. And Dapp staking approved or not would make a difference in the way my product will work (On a contract level).

2.1 Giving other people access to the server for me is an increased risk. I’ve never personally been subject to attack. I believe that is because my setup is extremely secure. I am proud of my level of security.
2.2 I am part of a small group of elite coders including current google, ex-microsoft and more.. And we have weekly discussions about D8A and our other projects. If I need a team/advisors then it would be easy to reach out. If the product becomes successful then I will be happy to hire these guys for maintenance/scaling/security/more.

  1. Right now I have a few bots across different social networks. Telegram/discord/twitter. These are slowly collecting users - ready to market D8A’s new tools. The new product has extremely viral potential and the bots should be able to push the new product to many new users.

The new D8A improvements are focused around the airdrops. And who doesn’t like a free airdrop?

D8A has the recipe for something big and I hope that I can send my users over to Astar dapp staking to support my product as soon as it’s live.

It would be very valuable to me if the ACC can let me know ASAP. I’m available 24/7 to call. Thanks.

Hi @ERC20s , thank you for taking the time to provide this additional context and for addressing the questions raised by the ACC.

We appreciate the transparency regarding D8A’s current adoption, development structure, and the roadmap for the upcoming features. The information provided gives us a better understanding of the current stage of the project.

Regarding adoption, the current figure of 42 unique users since the March relaunch indicates that D8A is still at an early stage. We understand that the upcoming features may significantly increase adoption, but at this point there is still limited evidence of sustained usage, transaction activity, or broader ecosystem impact that would allow us to justify an allocation through dApp Staking.

Regarding the single-developer structure, we appreciate that you have access to an experienced network of developers and that additional resources could potentially be brought in as the project grows. However, from a sustainability perspective, the project currently remains primarily dependent on a single developer. While this does not necessarily prevent a project from being considered, it is an operational risk that we believe should be addressed as the project scales.

We also recognize the potential of the upcoming features and the growth strategy you described. However, at this stage, these remain future projections. For dApp Staking, we believe it is important to base the decision on demonstrated adoption and measurable ecosystem impact rather than potential alone.

For these reasons, we are not currently in a position to support the relisting of D8A in dApp Staking.

This should not be understood as a permanent rejection. We would be happy to reconsider the project once the new features are live and there is sufficient data demonstrating user growth, sustained activity, transaction volume, and broader engagement with the Astar ecosystem.

We appreciate your continued work on D8A and your commitment to the Astar ecosystem. We encourage you to keep building and, once the new developments are live and measurable traction has been established, feel free to bring the project back for reconsideration.
