Summary. HeritageB is an on-chain “living passport” for cars. Our iOS app reads real OBD/ECU diagnostics from a vehicle, cryptographically hashes them, and anchors a tamper-proof health and ownership history on-chain, a “CarFax you can’t forge.” We would love to deploy and grow HeritageB on Astar.
Problem. The used-car market runs on trust nobody can verify: odometer rollback, hidden faults, forged service records. Existing history reports are centralised and rely on manually-entered records that can be gamed.
Solution and why Astar. We read data straight from the car’s computer (30+ live parameters), turn it into a signed report, and anchor its hash on-chain. Astar is a strong fit: a leading EVM smart-contract hub with deep Japan and Asia presence and a focus on real-world adoption, exactly our market. Our contracts are standard EVM Solidity, so they deploy to Astar (and Astar zkEVM) 1:1, and dApp Staking gives our users a way to support the project on-chain.
Traction (already live). Our attestation stack is live on peaq mainnet (VehicleRegistry + Attestations, real vehicle data anchored on-chain), with a working iOS app (TestFlight) doing real OBD scans on VW, Nissan and Bentley. Milestones (grant-funded, forward work).
M1 (4 to 6 weeks, ~2 FTE, ~$18k): deploy VehicleRegistry + Attestations to Astar; register the dApp for dApp Staking; public verify-by-VIN portal. Deliverables: live Astar contracts, dApp Staking registration, verification portal, open-source repo and docs.
M2 (4 to 6 weeks, ~2 FTE, ~$16k): ship in-app “Seal on Astar” anchoring plus AI health report; a TypeScript SDK for anchoring and verifying vehicle data on Astar. Deliverables: production app release, SDK, tests, developer docs.
M3 (4 to 6 weeks, ~2 FTE, ~$16k): onboard the first cohort of real vehicles (target 300 to 500), starting in the Japan and Asia market. Deliverables: cars on-chain, a reusable reference template, case study and metrics.
Total requested: ~$50,000 (open to Unstoppable Community Grant, dApp Staking, or Astar Studio credits).
