My name is Ariel and I’m the cofounder of Kairos Research, a web3 analysis and research firm in Latam.
Introduction
We started Kairos with one mission, to provide more opportunities to people in Latam. Over the past three years we have created over 50 articles debriefing the latest developments and projects in the ecosystem. Created a newsletter with over 450 subscribers, hosted local events across Mexico, Honduras and Colombia and even organized a hackathon with the Mexican Government about Onchain Voting last year.
Note 1: In the following day we will share a draft proposal for Astar and we would like to receive feedback before post it. If you have any questions about us and our work please feel free to ask us anything!
Note 2: We are limited to the number of links we can share but you can see this link to have a full overview of our work.
Is your main focus as a business engineering rather than publishing articles (media activities)? I was curious about your performance at hackathons and the pace at which you publish articles.
Also, it has been quite some time since you wrote an article about Astar, but are you planning to do any activities related to Astar or Soneium in the future?
Hello, thank you for the information. I would like to ask for permission to inquire a bit more:
In terms of the Business Model, how does the team position or set the goals for this project?
Regarding collaboration with both Astar Network and Soneium, does the team have any additional details or roadmap? This would help us get a clearer picture and be more aligned.
Thank you for adding your introduction to the forum, @Ariiellus.
Kairos Research is a project I know well, I’ve seen their work, and their content is high quality.
Personally, I’m excited to see their interest in our ecosystem and in the possibilities that can come from working together. As I mentioned before, Kairos Research produces very high-quality content, well-structured materials, and accurate financial analyses of the ecosystem. That’s why I would love to see them collaborate with Astar.
Welcome, Ariel and the Kairos Research team!
It’s great to have you here. Your mission to expand access to Web3 knowledge across Latam is truly valuable — and your past work covering topics like MEV, oracles, and even Astar itself is impressive. We’re excited to see your draft proposal and to explore potential collaboration opportunities.
Given your experience with MEV and L2s, do you plan to explore MEV implications within Astar’s Superchain model — especially in a multichain environment like Astar + Soneium? This could be a relevant topic as cross-chain activity increases.
Have you considered implementing on-chain analytics dashboards or data APIs tailored for ecosystems like Astar?
Since you already track key metrics (newsletter performance, livestream views, etc.), a more data-driven approach to ecosystem activity could be impactful — especially for community transparency and developer insights.
Looking forward to your draft proposal and future contributions. Bienvenidos!
Our main business is consultancy services about Token Engineering, we cover only discovery and design phases to early stages projects, in the have worked with two projects that didn’t launched (one in the Avalanche ecosystem, other in Ethereum) and one in the ICP ecosystem. On other hand, our media arm has help us to collaborate with projects like Celo, Optimism, EigenLayer, PBS Foundation and many more via grants / retroactive rewards for report/article creation.
This was a two day hackathon with over 30 participants. We had 7 final submissions from teams, in this hackathon we had a track on Substrate thanks to Peranto, Polkadot México & Vara Network.
Our cadency is one article or express analysis per week. In the last months we worked on over 15 articles for SEED Latam focused in topics related to Ethereum. and right now we are exploring the creation of Institutional Reports for TradFi entities in Latam due to the raiseness of Digital Assets interest across this kind of institutions.
Yes, right now we are preparing a request for feedback proposal for Astar Network. General ideas are:
In the last two years most of our source of revenue has been through grants. Last year we did our first consultancy services for tokenomics and this year we are in talks to provide courses to institutions and people from the financial sector.
Also, this year we started a paid newsletter with 7 subscribers at the moment. Our goal by EoY is to increase the number of free subscribers over 1000 with a paid rate of 3%. This will cover the monthly expenses of platforms like canvas, chatGPT, Streamyard and Beehiiv. We plan to achieve this by reaching new audiences outside web3 leveraging the raising interest of Digital Assets.
We are working on a request for feedback proposal, I’ll tag you as soon as we have it ready and published in the forum but we are planning 3 months of different activities including
reports, IRL events, interviews and more. Our plan is to create a strong relationship between us and the Astar / Soneium ecosystem.
Yes, we are planning to explore the MEV landscape in Astar / Soneium. Recently we learned that bots are consuming 40% of blockspace in the L2 ecosystem and this situation lead to bad UX. We are sure that we could find relevant data to Astar / Soneium.
Nice suggestion, we haven’t consider it but we will evaluate if our team has the capacity to create at least a Dune Dashboard or similar. Thanks for the idea!
Some of the metric that we are planning to track and to include in the report is revenue / transaction, volume, users, etc to give a landscape of what is going on in the ecosystem. I’ll really take into consideration your suggestion to cover this part.
It will be a mix of both, in one side we are planning to create content for new and experienced users. This way we could guarantee a broad coverage of different topics / projects in Astar / Soneium.
In the other hand we also plan community growth initiatives due the previous success of Astar / Soneium initiatives in Mexico in the last two years. We would like to continue previous work to help Astar to keep their presence in Mexico and by consequence in Latam.
I hope to share the full proposal in the next two weeks.
Hello, it’s nice to see you here. I’ve seen you several times in grant programs for different ecosystems.
Additionally, the X Space event you organized with dear Carlos seems to have been quite successful.
We are delighted to have projects of this quality and active across multiple ecosystems among us. What I’m curious about is what kind of offer we can expect in the coming days. A grant? A long-term agreement? Or perhaps a dAppStaking listing?
Thank you very much. Now I can see the project picture much more clearly. I’d like to ask for permission to inquire further - I’m not sure if there are any examples of competitors or similar projects done in this manner? =)
No, we are planning to create some análisis express on different dApps like this one (see note 1) to increase the awareness of the Astar Ecosystem. Also, we are thinking to create a quest using superboard[dot]xyz to allow users to engage with those apps
The general idea is to create a campaign covering different aspects that will benefit a broad audience with the tools we already have:
Newsletter for awareness on what is happening on the ecosystem
Articles on topics beyond the usual “what is Astar” like governance / tx policy / roadmap / mev
One pagers to promote education on projects
A quest to encourage onchain engagement
No at the moment
Note 1: It seems I can’t post a link while replying you. Please check this example:
Hello @MrKarahanli-Emre! great to find you here, thanks for your question!
I will post a Request for feedback proposal for a grant, before going into the application process we would like to iterate it with things that the community finds of value
It would be great to achieve a long-term agreement but first we would like to set a strong foundation of trust and to provide value to aim for big things in the future (whatever they could be)
