We donât know @Dumbell . Weâre discovering things as we go. We donât want to create new controversy. Weâre experimenting with you, probably for the first time, because no one has tried this path before. We understand these are new processes.
A shame that due to low turnout (on most referendums and not just this one) means that a 100% voting outcome is basically needed or a referendum will not pass.
The power is in your hands @pitcoin777 as the main Nay voter.
@SFY_Labs directly responded to your feedback here
Please take some time to review and respond with any feedback.
As can be seen from the below thread, @SFY_Labs are developing incentives for users to dApp stake with them and earn extra rewards for playing the game
They are doing a lot of development work on Astar which is sorely missing right now.
Once the player completes the dungeon you get a free NFT.
Now imagine if we include Astar Degen NFTs as a reward in the game which can be redeemed by the player and then be bridged to Soneium. (iâm sure this bridging option could be built into the frontend).
A simple example that demonstrates true cross-chain innovation and collaboration with 3 different projects involved.
And once @ilan and team help us develop the capability to bridge RMRK NFTs to Soneium I am sure even more possibilities can be thought of.
84.2% approval and still failing hurts as there is clearly a want and need for a game on Astar.
RMRK is the next protocol we would tackle as a Bridging opportunity.
We would have done so before, but unexpectedly, Solana announced that it is deploying CCIP on Mainnet, and we had to drop everything we were doing and redo our Solana bridge.
The Solana bridge is coming along. We can mint, lock, and unlock the NFTs that are created on Solana and bridge them to EVM chains.
We are working now on the CCIP messaging. for NFTs that are created on an EVM chain (Astar, Soneium) and finalizing the transfer to and from Solana.
The Solana SVM is much more complex than most of the other bridges we worked on.
I expect the bridge to be on Testnet in the next ten days and a few days after that, assuming successful testing, to be on Mainnet.
We will then be able to concentrate on RMRK protocol and work with Chronos and the ApeXChimps collection.
We would have done that before if we could. RMRK is an interesting and useful protocol, and we believe it is essential that projects like the ones mentioned above transition to the new chain Astar is joining and get an opportunity to flourish there.
As a last point, I want to mention to you that our developers went over Chronosâs documentation and were very impressed with the efficient way that the smart contacts are deployed. Chronos developers did a great job, and it will probably be a mistake not to support the project and let all of that great work go to waste.
These are just my two cents. NFT Bridges supports the UGC grant for Chronos.

Thanks for spending the time to review the contracts, and thanks for your public support! Iâm sure @SFY_Labs appreciate the feedback.

Sounds exciting and technically a challenge! Well done to you and your team on pushing the boundaries of innovation yet again.

Agreed - would love to see what we could do with this new Solana bridge.

Your opinion is valuable as already your team is well respected here. I also know you had a call to the members of this forum to try and encourage more community engagement, and even offered up financial incentives for people to bridge their Degens. This game can help with engagement - anyone who has taken the time to play will find it is fun.
Unfortunately we have rallied and tried everything to get this proposal approved with a huge turnout from the community.
@Pitcoin is currently the deciding vote with a 3 million Nay.
Earlier, a friendly whale tried to help us but has unfortunately lowered their conviction now. (if you happen to read this, please consider upping again as we should be able to pass now)
Even so, with a huge 66 Million Astar figure on Aye earlier from the said whale, the 3 million on Nay still holds all the power.
A very disappointing result as there were many collaborative opportunities for Age of Chronos / NFT Bridges / Degens / XChimpz / NEET (and many others) and this game could have linked us all together.
Not to mention @SFY_Labs plan on building a cross-chain NFT marketplace for Astar, but i cannot comment what the plan is if this proposal fails.
Weâre really happy about this. My team wonât let you down. Thatâs a promise. Thanks, Ian, also to you for the kind wordsâit would be truly amazing to bring the NFT sector back to life here on Astar together with other teams. Our goal will be to clear up all the doubts that have come up during these months of discussions.
Soon weâll present an idea for collaboration with all the teams that have shown interest in our work, and of course weâre open to discussions with the marketing team or the agents in charge of promoting activities on this chain. Astar will commit financial resources, so the least we can doâbesides building our dAppâis help maximize this investment.
We recently made a new upgrade of the first saga on Moonbeam, with new game levels and rewards. Weâd love to get feedback on that.
Can i ask why you have decided to vote no? There is big community support behind this initiative.
I hope you have taken the time to read the last few messages above, especially the one from @ilan and the postive feedback from NFT Bridges on the contracts.
Proposal is now failing again unfortunately and this may cause Astar to lose a NFT marketplace development by @SFY_Labs .
Now we believe this proposal is an important point in the history of Astar as a development blockchain. Maybe more will change in the future because of this, who knowâŚ
Good evening everyone,Iâm back after a month of forced suspension. The reason? Apparently, my words werenât âhelpfulâ to the community. But, a month later, has anything changed? Pretty much nothing. Weâre still here in the Age of Chronos thread, hashing out the same issues: the supermajority system allows a few to decide for the many. Seven wallets with 3 million ASTR carry the same weight as 40 wallets with 24 million ASTR. Itâs a mechanism that centralizes everything and frustrates the majority.Iâm committed to keeping a respectful tone and contributing actively, but it feels like everything is being done to test peopleâs patience. Itâs not just the lack of opportunities or the âcosmic voidâ of dApps on Astar thatâs concerningâitâs the overall attitude. If things keep going this way, you wonât need bans or suspensions to drive people away. The community is already doing a fine job of discouraging itself, and the risk is that many, fed up, will just tell everyone to screw off and leave.Instead of silencing critics, it would be more useful to listen and work together to improve. I hope we can start a constructive dialogue.Thanks.
I will also keep it respectful and echo your sentiment.
The wider community have rallied and voted majorly in favour with massive numbers, and two core team members have voted against with tiny numbers.
The community deserves to hear, from a technical perspective, why they have cast their votes this way.
It should be assumed that all votes are cast in the best interest of Astar network
Benefits
functional game
cheap treasury request
collaborative nature of the game with virtually every team in Astar being able to participate
sfy and nft bridges - 2 innovative teams with a close relationship able to build together with unique solutions
a bridge to soneium can potentially be built into the game frontend
cross chain NFT marketplace (Astar does not even have an NFT marketplace)
Sfy polkadot contacts that can be leveraged for Astar exposure to more audiences - PNIN / Wagmedia / Kusamarian
Moonbeam experience
Soneium game development
Marketplace development and game development - 2 huge pain points of Astar.
What are the negatives exactly?
The people who hodl Astar can vote whichever way they want - but we deserve a valid reason for why they vote this way surely - especially when itâs deciding the entire referendum?
This forum is for this exact discussion at the end of the day.
Lets discuss without argument. Lets keep it technical.
Sfy deserves to hear the technical critiques of the Nay voters so that they have a chance to address any doubts.
Due to lack of participation in Governance from the outside Astar holders, Nay votes are over powered.
If this vote fails tomorrow, for the sake of fairness this referendum should be re-ran with super majority turned off in my opinion.
Watching the last 10 minutes of this voting really was something to behold.
Thanks to @SFY_Labs for not feeling discouraged - a lesser team would be.
Nay votes coming from nowhere - for a 10k treasury request?
And the owners of the Nay voting wallets are really interesting.
Looks like governance is broken on Astar - people arnât voting with the Networkâs best interests.
Well done to the guys who got the result they wanted - now please go and build something and contribute to the network. Please spend your energy constructively.
If any justice - this is re-ran with super majority turned off or goes through the council member route.
Anyways, itâs good itâs not up to your opinion or mine to decide whatâs best for the network. Kind of the point of the governance.
Why does it matter whether itâs core team or not?
Some have voted in favor, some have voted against. Itâs our own accounts, with our own tokens.
Youâd be better of asking yourself why didnât the aye votes you got use higher conviction. If a few of them did, the referendum would have passed. If you want to win it eventually, those are the people you need to convince to increase your support.
When the account with 15M ASTR voted against you in the previous referendum, there were complaints that itâs unfair, bla bla. Now that it has voted in your favor, itâs all good - you donât need any explanation, youâll take it. But for nay votes - well, we better explain ourselves!
Scroll up, and youâll find my reasons. Iâve also shared them in the previous referendum in comments
TL;DR - I see the team as a negative presence, constantly grifting, spamming and misleading. As for the game, I said I donât see it as a good or interesting game, itâs not something I would play.
A very simple thought experiment - I open up Steam, and itâs autumn sale, with big discounts. I see Age of Chronos is priced at 0.99 euro. Do I buy it? I donât.
Completely irrespective of the team, these kind of games are a niche, and unfortunately I donât see this as a good game. Period.
And again, that being said, if Iâm proven wrong, the game goes viral and is a great success - awesome for you guys! Iâll congratulate you and happily say I was clearly wrong. No ill will.
Dear community,Our governance system is an utter disaster, a circus dragging us down. The latest referendum proves it: a pathetic 0.3% turnout, and a measly 8% of votes against killed a proposal, despite an account with 15 million ASTR voting in favor. And then someone, with a smug little smile, has the gall to say the 90% in favor shouldâve voted with âmore conviction.â Spare us the lecture, friend: the issue isnât the âconvictionâ of those who voted yes, but a quorum system so restrictive itâs flawed and useless. If an account with 15 million ASTR voting in favor isnât enough to pass a proposal, what more proof do we need that this system is broken? Apparently, a lot, since weâre still stuck debating it.A sarcastic round of applause to the 8% of âwinnersâ who blocked the referendum: congrats, youâve shown that a few can decide for everyone in an ecosystem thatâs supposed to be decentralized. Now that many of you hold official roles, show us some actual results, because weâre sick of those who block everything without building anything. Astar needs to grow, but for far too long, itâs been stuck at zero, zero, zero.Iâm calling on the team and the community to make a clear choice: do we want truly decentralized governance or a centralized system? Whatever the decision, Iâll accept it, but these sham votes have to stop. If weâre aiming for decentralization, we need to incentivize participation. The dApp staking system could encourage the community to vote activelyâwhy not use it? We need a mechanism that wakes people up, not one that lets them sleep. With such a restrictive quorum, weâre leaving the door open to those acting for personal interests, stalling the ecosystemâs growth. dApp staking or partnerships alone wonât attract developers: we need transparency and a governance system that works, with no room for games or scheming. And no, dear âconvictionâ expert, your Age of Chronos at 0.99 euros on Steam analogy is cute but irrelevant. Weâre not picking a game; weâre talking about an ecosystem that needs to grow. If you think the team is âdeceptiveâ or the project a âlousy niche,â give us technical reasons, not chatter from autumn sales.Letâs choose now. True decentralization or centralized decisions: no more ambiguity. Letâs build an ecosystem that reflects our values and gives everyone a voice, not just those who can tank a referendum with a measly 8%.
