OnFinality Infrastructure - dApp Update Q4 2025

Thank you all for your support in the current staking round!

Since our last update in Q1 2025 we’ve made a few changes to the services supported by our Astar dApp Staking:

• Astar’s SubQuery projects hosted on OnFinality Indexing are now included in our dApp staking submission

• Clarification that our Shiden services are not covered by the Astar dApp staking process because Shiden is a separate network.

We are also working with the Astar Foundation to integrate Astar into our new AI Agent : the intelligent AI Assistant for Web3 Communities

Due to the popularity of our Shiden service, we will keep it running without any funding to show our gratitude to the Astar (Shiden) community.

We’ve included Shiden service details below, for your interest only, because we had a lot of questions about the service earlier this year. Please note that they aren’t supported by the Astar dApp staking mechanism

RPC Service Details

OnFinality Astar and Shiden RPC services now run entirely on OnFinality Cloud, the self service cloud running on our own hardware in leading data centers worldwide.

Our Astar RPC has two regions, Hong Kong (Asia Pacific) and North Virginia (USA) for excellent global latency.

OnFinality also runs an Astar bootnode.

5 SubQuery Indexing projects, running on OnFinality Indexing, are also supported by our dApp staking rewards.

They include dApp staking statistics, general network statistics, as well as one project for each Shiden and Shibuya

By the way, you mentioned that there are no charges this time — are the operating costs being covered through revenue from dApp Staking?

Just a minor question: the title says “Q4 2025,” but I assumed this was a report on the Q3 2025 situation. Could you clarify?

Yes, the update is using data from Q3. Now that it’s Q4 I put Q4 in the title

That’s correct, the operating costs of the Astar service have been covered by dApp staking over the current period.

The Shiden RPC is not covered, but we are providing that service at no cost because it’s still seeing high usage
