We’d love to hear your thoughts on the recent update to the dApp Staking system! Since March 2025, you can move your stake up to 2 times per Build to Earn period without losing your bonus.
Is this update clear to you? Have you used this feature? Most importantly, does it help you?
Please take a moment to complete our quick survey — it only takes about 3 minutes and includes just 7 simple questions. Your feedback is super valuable to help us improve Astar with you at the center.
The survey is available in multiple languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean.
In my opinion, this feature is really useful, especially because it offers more flexibility to those who participate in staking.
For example, it can be super useful in the case of a new dApp being listed during the Build&Earn period that offers interesting incentives or extra bonuses to those who choose to stake with them.
This way we can seize new opportunities without risking losing the bonus, and at the same time support emerging projects that enrich the Astar ecosystem
You can also hold a dApp accountable if it fails to keep its promises or harms the ecosystem’s reputation by moving your stake from that dApp to a better one.
I answered the survey!
This feature, which allows you to switch staking destinations without losing bonuses, is very useful. I am relatively cautious when deciding where to vote, so I don’t really need it, but I would still use it in some cases.
I think an adjustment in the times to move the staking to 3 times per period would therefore be a good option. In the LATAM community they have commented that having at least more than twice the possibility to move your funds in the dApps staking would be the best option. Thanks for the initiative, the survey has been very complete and clear.
PS: we must give more diffusion to this function of dApp Staking.
Good morning, community,
I’m writing as an investor in the project, with no conflicts of interest, solely focused on the growth of my investment. I’m not an Ambassador nor do I hold any official roles in any dApp, so I can speak freely. To be blunt, I find this survey completely useless, just like moving one’s stake in dApp staking. Why? Simple: my capital, rewards, and bonuses are already secure. Even in the worst-case scenario, like a dApp turning out to be a scam, moving my stake wouldn’t bring me any tangible benefit, as no dApp offers significant incentives through dApp staking. Some might argue that moving stakes helps quality dApps stand out in the ecosystem. Let’s be realistic: most users who engage in dApp staking do so for the convenience of “stake and forget.” Try conducting a survey on this: why do users choose staking over DeFi? Or better yet, how much do they actually know about the dApps they stake on and why they choose them? This ties back to a thread from a few weeks ago, where I commented on Kyo Finance’s entry into the dApp staking program. There’s only one valid reason for an average user, with no direct conflicts of interest, to move their stake: a direct incentive. Kyo Finance has shown it understands this need by expressing willingness to offer incentives. I hope other dApps follow suit. Without concrete incentives, this survey and any changes to the system remain pointless and irrelevant for most users.
That said, it would be more productive to focus efforts on what truly matters: seriously promoting the value of Astar, which the market still hasn’t fully grasped.
@Marroz Welcome, and thanks for sharing your thoughts — always appreciate honest feedback.
Just to give a quick spotlight on our project: Astar Degens shares 30% of its dApp revenue with dApp stakers. Of course, everyone should decide for themselves which project to support — ideally based on more than just incentives. A bit of research can go a long way, and more projects are offering rewards as well!
Feel free to check out our campaign for extra rewards tied to active participation. https://www.astardegensdao.com or visit our socials for more info.
Hi,
I know the project well and strongly believe in its potential, so much so that a portion of my bag dedicated to dapp staking is on you guys! This shows that with commitment and dedication, great work can be done for both the dapps and the community. Keep it up!
@Mouthmouth68, I’d like you to be the one to post it on Discord. I can take care of sharing and expanding it, but it would be great to see the Community Council as the one sharing these posts.
You’ve raised valid points, and I agree with most of them.
I’m fully in favor of ending the “stake and forget” culture and rewarding and encouraging DeFi usage.
That said, I believe transparency and gathering community feedback can never be overemphasized.
User opinions matter when making decisions—especially those that require technical resources and time investment.
Filling out the survey will take less than 30 seconds and will help in some way.
