Don’t think we have any functioning game on Astar I am aware of.

@SFY_Labs possible collaboration opportunity with the game you are developing

Hi @2075

It’s been a little while since we’ve seen any updates from GameDao on the forum or social channels. Could you please share a detailed summary of the milestones you’ve achieved on Astar/Sonieum since GameDao dApp listing, along with the challenges you’re currently facing and what’s planned for the coming months?

It would also be great if you could publish a roadmap covering at least the next 6 to 12 months.

Thanks in advance!

Hey there,

it has been quite some time, we have been busy bees and look forward to the coming updates for you, please give us some more time to prepare. For those who followed our github and some of the channels, you may be already in the know. We are currently working on the deployment and simply need more time than expected, due to other obligations.

If you are interested, we have also started an open discussion on telegram, working in the open on some games and - working title - the Soneium Gaming Collective: Telegram: View @SoneiumGamingCollective.

Regarding the deployment on Soneium we are just limited on the resource side, but in general most of the protocol is refactored to EVM, with some enhancements, like staking.

Looking forward to give you a full update in a week or so.

Greetings + thanks for your ongoing support!

Thanks for the update, Marco. Really looking forward to seeing GameDAO live on Soneium asap!

Thanks for the thoughtful update! :raising_hands:

It’s great to hear about the progress — especially the refactoring to EVM and the added staking functionality. Totally understand that deployments can take longer than expected, and I really appreciate the transparency and dedication despite the resource challenges. It had been more than 2 weeks now from your last post, do you have any update or any estimation when the updates will be posted? Thanks

Hey @DrCAO fair question, we have just returned from off grid travels, we would like to get out info asap, also considering the Gaming Collective and other discussions and of course the next dApp Staking season. Catch you soon! Marco

That sounds good. Whenever the team is available, could you please help update us on the progress - how things are going, including any limitations or obstacles you’re facing? This way we can work together to find solutions. =)

Hi @2075

To help everyone better follow the project’s progress, could you please use this post GameDAO dAppStaking Proposal as a base to share which milestones have been completed, along with links to the related results or updates? That would make it much easier for the community to see how things are evolving.

Also, since the $GAME token distribution was initially planned to begin in early 2025, could you please provide an update on its current status?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to update the community — it’s much appreciated!

Hey @Mouthmouth68, cheers for asking.

Year in Review

GameDAO’s had a proper journey over the past 12 months. We’d initially planned to leverage 2024’s staking rewards to build a small team focused on two core objectives: discovering and supporting games interested in building on Astar/Soneium, and porting the GameDAO protocol to a more flexible setup. The reality? Market conditions and shrinking staking rewards meant we’ve had to adapt our approach.

Key Observations

We’ve noticed limited ecosystem engagement across several initiatives:

  • Treasury design discussions yielded minimal interaction (perhaps we could’ve pushed harder here)

  • Our year-end gamified staking game received modest uptake

  • The managed gaming treasury proposal faced headwinds - with only 30k in grants available, attracting serious gaming projects proves challenging when competitors offer pools north of ÂŁ1m

What We’ve Delivered

Despite constraints, we’ve cracked on with:

Moving Forward

We’re now focusing on:

  • Finalising the protocol with staking mechanics

  • Completing the web frontend

  • Refining our Soneium game collective proposal based on stakeholder feedback

  • Strengthening community engagement

After ranking amongst the top three dApp Staking projects for nearly a year, we reckon we’ve made solid use of the rewards. Now we’re keen to explore treasury support options to properly validate our thesis together.

Your thoughts and backing would be brilliant - let’s build something substantial for gaming on Astar and Soneium.
