Hi SFY Labs team,
Thanks for sharing your updated proposal and for your continued interest in building on Astar. We appreciate the detailed context you provided and the work you’ve done with Age of Chronos so far.
After a thorough review, the Astar Main Council has decided not to approve the treasury request in its current form. We want to take a moment to explain our reasoning and offer suggestions for a path forward.
Main Council Feedback:
While your development roadmap is clear and the technical ambition is appreciated, the council felt that the proposal currently lacks key components that would justify treasury funding from the Astar ecosystem, particularly:
- Lack of a go-to-market or ecosystem engagement strategy:
It’s not clear who the target users are, how the game will attract players, or what kind of user base or visibility it could generate for Astar. - Unclear value proposition for the Astar Network and the ASTR token:
The proposal doesn’t provide enough detail on how this game would contribute to Astar’s growth — whether through new users, activity, token utility, or network impact. Without this clarity, it’s difficult to evaluate the ROI or broader ecosystem benefit of this funding request. - Uncertainty around community and financial impact:
While we recognize the effort and commitment from your team, treasury funding is ultimately an investment from the community. There needs to be a clearer case for how this project delivers value back to Astar stakeholders.
What We Recommend Instead:
Rather than closing the door on this proposal, we suggest you submit it as a public referendum. This would allow the ASTR community to vote directly on whether to support your project with treasury funds.
By doing so, you can gauge community interest and potentially secure the same amount of funding — 990,000 ASTR — via on-chain approval by token holders. You can follow this example format to structure the referendum if you choose to move forward with that route. Let me know if you need help to create the metadata and public proposal.
We appreciate your willingness to contribute something unique to the Astar ecosystem and encourage you to continue refining the proposal. We’d be happy to see a revised version that includes more information around user engagement, measurable impact, and the strategic benefits for Astar.
Thanks again for your proposal — we’re looking forward to what you build next.
Best regards,
Astar Main Council
