TL;DR

We propose to open HRMP communication between Astar Network and Unique. This will require actions on both chains.

Summary

We propose to open a bi-directional channel between Astar Network and Unique. The primary use case will be to transfer UNQ tokens to Astar Network to be used in the ecosystem of Astar Network and in the protocols built on top of the network.

Proposal

There is no on-chain proposal. The proposal created in this forum acts as an official proposal between Unique and Astar Network.

Technical details

The procedure for opening the channels is as follows:

  1. Unique initializes a proposal to open a bidirectional HRMP channel between Unique and Astar Network via the Astar forum.

  2. Wait until the proposal is approved

  3. Unique proposes to open an HRMP channel from Unique to Astar via on-chain transaction

  4. Astar Network approves this call and thereby opens Unique → Astar HRMP channel. Astar Network proposes to open a Astar to Unique HRMP channel. This may be done at the same time via Astar MultiSig Governance Batch call

  5. Unique approves a call from Astar thereby Astar → Unique HRMP channels is opened

  6. Wait for another session on Polkadot for the change to be effective.

As a prerequisite, the parachain’s sovereign account must contain at least 10 DOT to be locked as collateral (5 for each channel direction), plus some DOT to pay for XCM execution fees.

I always support integration between parachains. Now let’s wait for a dapp to fully utilize it
