Wow, that’s cool to see so many projects join the campaign of the Astar Foundation. The most promising is certainly a collaboration with AltLayer on the feature of MACH because it genuinely underlines how important $ASTR is in enhancing the security of Soneium’s infrastructure. Looking forward to seeing what shape these innovations will take in the future of the ecosystem!
Eager also to learn more about the upcoming proposal for the DAO collective and how it’s going to help move the community forward. Great work, Astar team!
Interesting approach with AltLayer and EigenLayer.
In this case, we can stake ASTR on AVS on EigenLayer for security, or leverage tokens that are already on collators to provide additional security for Soneium?
Thank you for the detailed update. I’m also very interested in the topic of “ASTR in Enhancing Soneium Infrastructure Security.” I’m eager to see how this will unfold and the potential improvements it could bring. Looking forward to it!
The fact that the possibility of using ASTR in Soneium’s economic security is already in the pipeline is truly incredible and something that we must highlight to all our users as soon as it is confirmed. Great work being done by the Astar Foundation, we are definitely in the right place, in the place of technological innovation.
Thank you.
Since the full finality of L2 comes from L1, I think it’s a good idea to use a finality layer like MACH and make ASTR and LST available.
However, I don’t think we need to think about it now, but since Vitalik discussed single-slot finality, if that is implemented in Ethereum, the L2 finality layer may not be needed.
As I already said this a while ago but I think that the whole part of increasing the security of SONEIUM with the $ASTR token is one of the strongest and most powerful narratives we have on our hands! I’m super curious to see its developments
Thanks, everyone, for tuning in during our live session today. If you missed it, please watch it here. We had two special guests during the first live session:
We’ve received feedback from participating teams, communities, our team, and users. The 1st week gave us a good look at what’s working and may not. As it stands, there’s already a net positive result for all projects, so we’re rejoicing in that.
What’s ahead:
We’ll begin focusing more on the main objective. In this case, it’s ASTR and its connection to Soneium.
This is already exemplified with some teams here with clear onchain quests showcasing the connection to ASTR.
The 1st week was a grace period, but the middle of 2nd week will be a deadline for all projects to hone in on this connection and create an onchain task.
We’ll be removing those that have no clear onchain quest + no clear ASTR connection, as well as teams with dysfunctional sites and/or underdeveloped project. Hence all projects with no onchain astr quest will be up for review and removal by Wednesday.
Overall too many quests, and this is demotivating users.
We’ll maintain the current 4 quest but now only allow 1 more onchain quest for all teams for a total of 5 max.
We’ll be activating each projects “Daily checkin” so users are encouraged to consistently visit the projects quest board.
Feedback:
We would like to hear feedback from the community. What would you like to see us improve? Any suggestions moving forward? Feel free to reach out to me or @0xRamz
Great to see such positive results from Week 1! Excited for the upcoming quests and the focus on ASTR. Let’s keep building momentum and growing the Astar ecosystem!
I think the approach of promoting the campaign while making drastic improvements is very good.
Indeed, it was necessary to limit the number of quests per project. Moving forward, I would like to focus on on-chain quests.
The improvement I felt was needed is the ability to see the progress of completed quests on the top page (project list page). Currently, you can’t tell if the quests are completed or in progress unless you go to each project’s page. In other words, users must manage the completion of project quests themselves.
I think having a progress bar (or percentage) on the list page to show the overall progress of the project’s quests would allow users to proceed with quests more quickly. Alternatively, it would be good to have an icon or a mark for projects where all quests have been completed.
As @tksarah mentioned, it would be great if the progress could be made clearer. Regarding the Daily Check-in, it was quite confusing as some projects had it and others didn’t, so it’s good to hear that it will be standardized.
I also agree with @adhibh . Adding the daily meme contest as a quest seems excessive.
@you425@adhibh
Yes, the Daily Checkin (or Daily GM as it’s now called) is already implemented. As for the memes, we will request project to change frequency to once or all together scrap it. @tksarah as per the UI Ill check with team what can be done in short term if anything. These types of changes do take a bit of time and resources so its great feedback altogether for next major updates to the platform.
A few other changes that we plan based on feedback.
More onchain quest, specifically ASTR centric
Graphics that show previous winners.
Limits on quests.
Reorganization of participating projects to better hone in on the objective of Astar x Soneium showcase through the ecosystem ASTR token.
I believe that the lessons learned from the Yoki campaign on zkEVM have been thoroughly incorporated into this campaign, and it seems to be very well-designed from the perspective of integrating Soneium and Astar Network.
Perhaps a better approach for designing future UI/UX is from the perspective of behavioral science (such as behavioral analysis and behavioral economics). Effective UI/UX can maintain user motivation and encourage continuous participation in the campaign.
The completion flags and progress bars I proposed can also be seen as points that encourage user behavior.
Could you please elaborate? I do not get the idea of having this kind of a controllable error.
I wouldn’t be so sure it works this way as there are dapps that have decent amount of coins staked just because they share their staking profits with stakers.
I think it’s better to modify the Astar staking GMs tasks as well , I found many users thinkin they can/need to stake the faucet they have claimed and apparently they don’t know about 500 ASTR minimum + 10 tokens to keep on the wallet requirement for Portal staking.
I may agree with others , imo we have too many tasks and the overwhelming number of GMs to grind may stop people trying to reach the top of the leaderboard @0xRamz
but today i see some project is gone, from 30 to 24/25.
and i notice that our point is decrease also with the missing project, is that normal? i mean should the point that we got in the past should be permanent whether the project is dropped or not.
Thanks for the comment! The total points will be corrected within a couple of days and yes, you are right that they should still count - and they will As for the projects the count is lower as we say a kind goodbye to older ones and onboard new ones who fit into the objective.
