AstarHood: The Mythical Outlaw of the Astar Ecosystem - Opening statement
Greetings, fellow members of the Astar community!
I am AstarHood, an anonymous voice within the ecosystem, here to bring the cause of fairness, transparency, and value creation in the Astar Network. Inspired by the legendary Robin Hood, my mission is to ensure that the dApp Staking system remains a powerful tool for innovation and growth—reserved for projects that bring genuine value to the ASTR token and our broader ecosystem.
My Mission
The Astar Network has always been a beacon for supporting developers and their dApp projects. However, with the upcoming launch of Soneium and the strategic direction of the Astar Foundation, it is clear that now is the time to refine and elevate the dApp Staking system.
By initiating community-driven proposals to delist underperforming or inactive dApps, we can:
- Showcase the true potential of dApp Staking to attract high-value projects.
- Build a system that rewards those who bring value to the ASTR token and aligns with the long-term interests of ASTR token holders.
- Set a higher standard for participation in the Astar ecosystem, ensuring that only dedicated builders thrive here.
Why Now?
Maarten, the Head of Astar Foundation, has already emphasized the need to cleanse the dApp Staking system. However, this transformation cannot be a top-down mandate. Instead, it must be organic and community-driven, reflecting the collective will of all stakeholders in our ecosystem.
As AstarHood, I will initiate discussions, present data-driven proposals, and advocate for fair evaluations of all dApps. My goal is to ensure that this initiative remains transparent, inclusive, and focused on building a stronger, more resilient network.
How You Can Help
This mission isn’t just about delisting; it’s about reshaping the future of Astar. I invite all community members to join the conversation, voice your opinions, and contribute to building a dApp Staking model that reflects our shared vision. I don’t life on Discord, my home for now is the Astar Forum but open to start a TG group. If you would like to join me, send me a DM.
Let’s work together to create an ecosystem where only the best dApps—those that drive value for ASTR and empower our community—receive the spotlight they deserve.
Join me in this journey to restore balance, promote excellence, and ensure that Astar remains the leading asset for Astar & future Soneium.
Onward, for the good of Astar!

Proposal for Delisting Ceres Liquidity and Token Lockers from dApp Staking
Summary
This proposal is created to delist Ceres Liquidity and Token Lockers from the dApp Staking system on Astar Network due to its lack of ongoing contribution to the ecosystem and its failure to promote or bring value to the ASTR token.
Listing on the Astar portal: https://portal.astar.network/astar/dapp-staking/dapp?dapp=0x158a08bcfd8821ba5ed252fd6b13d7013455b2a2
Background
Ceres was initially approved for dApp Staking based on their proposal outlined in the Astar Forum:
The project aimed to deliver token locking and liquidity solutions to the Astar ecosystem. While their intentions aligned with the ecosystem’s goals at the time of listing, their recent activity and contributions no longer meet the expectations of value-driven participation.
Key Metrics
Key observations:
- Lack of meaningful activity: no activity is showing on DappRadar: https://dappradar.com/dapp/ceres-liquidity-token-locker?range-ds=30d
- Absence of ecosystem development: No evidence suggests active development or expansion that promotes the ASTR token:
- No liquidity locked in the Astar ecosystem:
- No mention of Astar in their second product Demeter:
Demeter Farming and Demeter Farming
- No liquidity locked in the Astar ecosystem:
- Developer Wallet Activity: The project’s developer wallet can be reviewed here:

Rationale
Ceres no longer meets the criteria for dApp Staking due to the following reasons:
- Minimal Ecosystem Contribution: The project has not actively driven value to the Astar ecosystem or enhanced the utility of the ASTR token.
- Stagnant Development: No new features, updates, or significant milestones have been introduced to benefit the community.
- Inactive Engagement: Ceres has failed to maintain active engagement or partnerships that positively impact the ecosystem.
To maintain the integrity and effectiveness of the dApp Staking system, it is essential to ensure that only projects with meaningful contributions and active participation are supported.
Community Engagement
I value the input of the Astar community and invite all members to share their thoughts and feedback on this proposal.
- Forum Topic: Please discuss by replying here.
- Voting Timeline: A vote on this proposal will be initiated in 5 days after discussions in the Astar Townhall:
Astar Governance Portal
Next Steps
- Community Discussion (5 Days): Share feedback and additional insights.
- Voting Period: Participate in the formal vote to decide on the delisting.
- Execution: If the proposal passes, Ceres will be removed from the dApp Staking system.
Together, let’s ensure that Astar remains a hub for impactful and value-driven projects. Thank you for your participation and support!
