Delisting proposal of XO and InsureDAO

Proposal for Delisting XO & InsureDAO from dApp Staking

Summary

While the Community Council is still working on setting the guidelines of dApp Staking future (listing, delisting, etc.). We already would like to proceed with delisting projects that clearly already stopped contribution to Astar.

This proposal is created to delist XO & InsureDAO from the dApp Staking system on Astar due to its lack of ongoing contribution to the ecosystem and its failure to promote or bring value to the ASTR token.

This first batch only has 2 projects included but more can be added in the next cycle.

Listing on the Astar portal:

Background

XO was initially approved for dApp Staking on February 2024:

InsureDAO was initially approved for dApp Staking on April 2022:

Key Metrics InsureDAO

Key observations:

Key Metrics XO

Key observations:

  • There is no activity on Astar they pivoted to Base ecosystem.
  • Absence of ecosystem development: No evidence suggests active development or expansion that promotes the ASTR token:
    • Their socials is all about their project on Base: x.com
  • Developer Wallet Activity: The project’s developer wallet can be reviewed here:
Subscan | Astar Account Details – no activity or claiming happening
  • Contract Address: 0xd2c2e0f97800a909e819beb08b43127ae217f6db

Rationale

XO & InsureDAO no longer meets the criteria for dApp Staking due to the following reasons:

  1. Minimal Ecosystem Contribution: The project has not actively driven value to the Astar ecosystem or enhanced the utility of the ASTR token.
  2. Stagnant Development: No new features, updates, or significant milestones have been introduced to benefit the community of ASTR holders.
  3. Inactive Engagement: failed to maintain active engagement or partnerships that positively impact the Astar ecosystem.

To maintain the integrity and effectiveness of the dApp Staking system, it is essential to ensure that only projects with meaningful contributions and active participation are supported.

Both are not actif anymore so let’s clean that

I’m aligned and will vote for this as Community Council member.

Well caught! Definitely no noticeable contribution to the Astar ecosystem from these two projects, therefore I support delisting.

Great to see the Community Council active.
Please continue the work! I’m supporting this delisting based on the data provided.

Thank you for your proposal, even while the guidelines are being setting up.
I agree with this.

Based on the really well explained post I totally support the delisting

No value has been brought to our chain, and it doesn’t make sense for them to remain in dApp staking. I vote in favor of delisting them in the council.

The information is quite clear and includes comprehensive supporting details. Thank you very much. Personally, I fully support this. =)

Thank you for your proposal, even as the guidelines are still being established. I agree with it.
