DeStore Network deserves to be in dApp Staking?

Is there any reason the ASTAR COMMUNITY can’t get the access to the information as well? Transparency matter a lot to the community. Please, share the updates with us.

Looks like the team is more engaged with the reputation of Forum title than transparency/sharing infos with the Astar community… that’s sad.

I think the entire community can read the answers and get their own conclusion by the team responses (or lack of it) - don’t worry with misleading future readers if the team is doing a good job  Keep working :muscle:

I AGREE. Another dapp that has been funded for months with the top of the rewards and vanished into thin air, while many others have not even been able to start making themselves known due to the lack of places. This is very sad and the fault lies in the failure to apply the rules. If what astar has to receive is the senseless promotion of its brand through false statements (such as that of creating innovative dapps that will never see the light) it is better to use those funds to advertise Astar through paid marketing.

This app should be delisted from dApp Staking. There’s literally no reason for you guys to be on dApp Staking. Who cares about big Japanese firms when the purpose of dApp Staking is to boost projects that provide utility to the Astar ecosystem and, most importantly, to the $ASTR token?

@Maarten @Gaius_sama @AstarHood

Thanks for tagging me
It would be great if you could create the proposal to check with our community if they agree on your judgement. When the proposal is created you can also start by creating the public proposal on our governance: https://astar.subsquare.io/

Thanks for your support and involvement.

Hi @pitcoin777,

As @pithecus mentioned that he raised his inquiry via our website, we are leaving with him to determine if he wants to raise it again in a public forum or not.

Hi Zorounashi,

We have not disappeared, nor the funding granted by dApp staking was for free.

As shared with the community in our post in October 2024 (above), find in this Open Letter to Astar Network Community what was achieved on Astar B2E V3 Term 1 and Term 2. Our commitment to Astar Network remains as strong as when we joined the community in 2023, with the Team publishing our Web3 non-custodial wallet in Soneium and preparing the launch of a new dApp in Canva marketplace (more information will be provided in Social Media channels when Canva has published the dApp. We have obtained the approval from their Security and Legal Team).

As published in this Medium article (October 19, 2024), we doubled the allocation of our future DeStore token as a thank you to Astar Community for their support during the Initial Stake Pool Offering Campaign.

In addition, as per this KPI report shared by Swytfx, one of Australia’s biggest Exchange, the introduction facilitated by Josiah (DeStore CEO) in September 2023 between Astar Network (represented by @0xRamz) and Swyftx led to 5,976 people buying ASTR and generating millions of dollars in trading volume. Astar Team might be able to provide up-to-date statistics of the number of holders and trading volume since September 2023 (we do not have access to that information).

Finally, note that the funding received from Astar dApp Staking as a Tier 4 application is 137 ASTR per epoch. Our vision is to become the top phygital solution in Soneium/Astar Network and are working towards this goal, independently of the dApp staking rewards granted to us.

Hi @wakeup,

We respect your opinion and you have the option to not stake with us, if you think that we do not provide any value to Astar Network. However, it does not mean that our dApp should be delisted from Astar dApp Staking not allowing other members to support us. We are currently a Tier 4 dApp with 212 community members supporting us.

In our opinion, a phygital solution in Sonemium/Astar Network blockchains will attract a lot of users and transactions to the blockchain, resulting in blockchain fees and ASTR price increase.

Note that we are also ASTR holders ourselves and community members, not only builders in the space. We have been part of the community since September 2023 and our goal is for Sonemium/Astar Network to grow and ASTR price to increase over time, same as yours.

Hi @Maarten, we will respect the decision of the community if a proposal to delist our project was to be published and passed.

However, we have noticed a lot of proposals to delist projects published recently, during Christmas Holidays, by new community members.

How are we the builders protected from malicious intentions or collusion with other projects? Is not the fact that the community can freely choose staking or unstaking in any project at any time the best exercise of democracy? Is it more valuable the opinion of a few members than 212 stakers that freely decided to support us in Astar B2E V3 Term 3?

This is a very important point. While we have seen the mission of some community members to debug Astar’s dApp Staking, we have seen unfounded accusations as well.

Currently any community member can request the delist of a dApp in Astar, because this is public and Open Source. But I think that if DeStore wants to defend itself from this it should just make its community more active, its 212 stakers and show the rest that DeStore contributes to Astar as much or more than others. In my opinion, this is the right thing to do.

Hello @Doinglifewell

@Juminstock made a good point: any ASTR token holder has the right to ask questions or even propose a delisting of a project in Astar dApp Staking. Since projects receive ASTR tokens, it’s only natural for people to want to know what the project is doing to contribute to the ecosystem—especially when those tokens could be sold and add selling pressure.

Some valid questions have been raised about your project. While we’ll moderate any false accusations or toxic comments (according to the new rules of engagement), that doesn’t mean you can ignore legitimate questions from ASTR holders. Given your project has been heavily doing marketing around dApp Staking, received decent support from stakers, and been part of the program for a while now, it’s totally fair for the community to ask for some clarity.

On that note, I’d personally like to know more about what on-chain products, contracts, or data Destore has contributed to Astar Network. I’ve heard most of your activity is still happening on Polygon and other chains, and that your presence on Astar (WASM, EVM, zkEVM) has been pretty minimal over the past year. Can you share some data to disprove this?

Looking forward to your response—thanks!

It is true that DeStore has done a high marketing work, they undeniably participated in several events last year.

But just like @Gaius_sama and the rest of the community, I want to know what their progress has been guys.

I visited their website and there are still a lot of things to develop, I visited their marketplace and the products they have there are not even priced or available for purchase, even they are still in beta, what have been the advances of the last year team?

I would like to ask the team a question. I’m not sure about the current business direction of the team and what plans we have. Now that Soneium has launched their Mainnet, perhaps there are ways we could support each other. =)

Hi @Juminstock,

The marketplace depicted above is built on Substrate and is not compatible with EVM wallets or the Somnium chain. The products have no price because we have decided to discontinue the Substrate version of our marketplace and shift our focus to the verification and redemption of digital experiences. This decision was partly due to OpenSea and other marketplaces not being highly regarded by Web2 enterprises, especially following the SEC’s actions against OpenSea. Although this pressure has since been lifted due to the Trump administration, our strategic pivot remains unchanged.

Hey @Gaius_sama,

Thanks for the questions—I’m glad to shed light on DeStore’s work within the Astar ecosystem and beyond. Happy to engage with legit community members like yourself, not throwaway scam accounts.

On-chain activity’s been light, true, but that’s not where the heavy lifting is. Deploying NFT contracts? Easy. Building a scalable product that bridges Web2 to Web3 for millions? That’s the real grind, and it’s where we’ve been focused.

Contributions & Ecosystem Ties

We’ve been active across chains, including Polygon. When Astar pivoted to zkEVM, we were all-in—loudest voices in those “All roads lead to Polygon” X Spaces, pushing Astar hard. That shift aligned us with Polygon, and even after Astar dialed back, we’d already built roots there and stuck with it. Our goal’s connecting creators, brands, and users wherever they’re active.

This past term, we’ve dialed down marketing and made zero grand promises—yet we’re still building and growing quietly.

Where We’re At Now

We’re deep into Soneium—it’s the next big wave we’re riding. We’ve integrated Soneium into Canva, launching the first Web3 app on their platform with full approval from Canva’s head of partnerships. The Soneium/Canva rollout — stay tuned.

Minting’s been tested on Minato testnet, and we’re prepping to go live. Meanwhile, we’re not abandoning Astar—talks are ongoing with Astar/Startale for a phygital NFT drop on OpenSea. It’s a buyback-and-burn setup tied to $ASTR. We’ve got a design locked in with US Gold Silver Coins for the marketplace, just awaiting final artist sign-offs and OpenSea stablecoin support before we kick off marketing. It’s early, but it’s real and coming soon.

Moving Forward

Check our Open Letter to the Astar Network Community below—it’s got all our past milestones from when we were marketing heavily and earning rewards. Per the dApp Staking Code of Conduct, we’ll keep dropping quarterly updates via open letters and add a roadmap to our site for better transparency as per the new reporting mechanism.

Happy to answer more if you’ve got more questions.

here is a video we made that shows what we have built: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drLsVMRY2BU

I understand and it makes total sense. Thank you for the clarification and response.

Honestly, I don’t understand why you should receive rewards after producing 0 on the astar chain. Who cares about soneium? this is the astar DAPP STAKING, I staked on you more than 1 year ago. I received nothing in return. Can we accept the destore listing in this state? I’m shocked by the lack of control. Are a few slides enough to fool an entire community?
