We hope you’re doing well! We wanted to let you know that the second term of your UCG grant for the Lotto dApp is coming to an end. As a result, ACC will be withdrawing the 25M ASTR support from the Lotto dApp at the end of this month.
We truly hope that this support has helped you make great strides with the project! It would be wonderful if you could share a wrap-up post highlighting all the milestones you’ve achieved over these past eight months. Additionally, sharing your upcoming roadmap would be a great way to keep the community informed and excited about what’s next for Lotto.
This will also help build momentum and encourage the community to take the lead in supporting the Lotto dApp moving forward.
Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication!
Thank you @Mouthmouth68 and thanks to everyone for your support in the development of the Lotto dApp.
As mentioned in my previous report, the smart contracts have been migrated to ink! v5, and the off-chain logic has been deployed on Phala Cloud (evm contracts deployed on Soneium have also been upgraded).
However, during testing, I realized that the SubQuery indexer does not currently support smart contracts written in ink! v5 due to a breaking change introduced with events 2.0.
Since the indexer is a crucial part of the dApp, this has caused a delay in deploying the new version of Lotto to the mainnet.
I have reached out to the SubQuery team (in private and on discord) to see if they plan to support the latest version of ink! smart contracts.
Depending on their response, I will either implement it myself and create a PR on their GitHub, or switch to an SBQ/Subsquid indexer that already supports it.
Regarding statistics, according to DappRadar, the dApp generates approximately 150 transactions per day on Soneium: https://dappradar.com/dapp/lotto?range-ha=30d
I don’t have statistics for Astar Network but for sure the participation in Astar is lower than in Soneium.
@GuiGou thank you for sharing your blockers to move forward with the project.
However, the conversation here is around the unstaking of the 25M ASTR since Lotto has reached its maximum term within the UCG program. This is something that the Community Council will proceed to do before the end of the month.
Since Lotto is a growing project which I support, what plans do you have for sustaining it?
Being part of the ecosystem, you know the support mechanisms you can access, I would recommend looking into these possibilities.
Finally, I wish you much success with Lotto and Lucky.
