New dapp staking proposal: The Royal Raffle

Like my partner, I have not been able to notice his presence in social networks. Also, you say in your post that on January 22 there will be another lottery draw and that they will communicate it on your social networks, which social networks? With what time frame do they announce it? Do you have any brand communication plan?

Hey!

  • Our socials are linked on the dapp page? Let us know if there is a better place. Twitter here for ref : https://twitter.com/RoyalRaffledapp

  • That sounds like you are asking for a prediction market which would be a bigger build out and something that Zeitgiest is working on. We do not intend to build that.

  • Yes it would be great to form some collobrations with other dapps, we gave away a Kusama Queen worth $4k in the first raffle, would be good to partner with some projects for other prizes.

Hey @1xKBL
Congrats for the first raffle!
Are the phat contracts to manage the raffle verified?
You probably already know, you can verify ink! smart contracts and ink! phat contracts via Patron of OpenBrush.
Even if I had the occasion to discuss with Joshua about the implementation of the Royal Raffle dApp, if you can also share your githup repo, it will be appreciate. I am pretty sure, all technical guys could learn a lot from the source code :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank You for answering
So far as I saw the main usage of the dApp is to stake on it and try to win the NFT. I really like the artwork and I´m curious about the next step of the collection on Astar , do You have any other mint or zkEVM related campaign on your 2024 roadmap ?
Even if I go to (https://www.kusamakingdom.com/) I can only find an updated roadmap till August 2022 , can You please share more about next milestones ?

Hey, No the main usage of the dapp is to win the 20% of dapp rewards each month not an NFT , This was what our proposal stated. We aim to have additional prizes through working with communities if they wish to get promotion, which the first month was a Kusama Kingdom NFT.

‘Do You have any other mint or zkEVM related campaign on your 2024 roadmap ?’ - This is not on the roadmap or part of the proposal we put forward, it is not necessary for the raffle to function. But we will continue explore all avenues as it may be beneficial for us and ASTR to do something related to this.

‘Even if I go to (https://www.kusamakingdom.com/) I can only find an updated roadmap till August 2022 , can You please share more about next milestones ?’ - That is the website for the NFT project Kusama Kingdom vs the Royal Raffle. There is not an ongoing roadmap for the Royal Raffle, the proposal was to build and get live the raffle function as we have done and continue to try and deliver other prizes which is ongoing. We of course are always exploring ways to improve and add more value to it and to Astar.

This answer raises a little doubt in my mind, although it is not strictly necessary that your dApp continues to improve (because it fulfilled what was proposed in its original post), it is very important for the community and for yourselves to improve over time, maybe you have some ideas in mind for this 2024.

Is there anything you can share with us that you plan to implement/improve in your dApp this year?

Hello @1xKBL

Your last month in the UCG program has come to an end, and it’s time for you to send us your last monthly report, as required by the UCG program .

Please share with us:

  • Your progress and what you’re working on;
  • Have you reached the milestones set out in your proposal and, if not, why not?
  • What are your next milestones and how do you feel about achieving them?
  • If you have sold tokens, please indicate the quantity and price at which they were sold, the hash of the transaction and the reason for the sale.

Since the UCG period is now over for The Royal Raffle. The Community Treasury will also unstake its 1.5M ASTR tokens from The Royal Raffle’s dApp.

I wish you all the best with your project and let us know if we can be of any help.

Don’t forget to prepare your community for dApp Staking V3.

Thank you!

@0xRamz This comment didn’t age too well. The Royal Raffle fully intended on funneling the dApp staking rewards to their treasury and I could see it a mile off in my comment posted before yours.

But because you have a personal interest and you personally own their wash traded “expensive” (worthless) NFT’s, you used your profile in here to keep them listed.

When the dApp staking rewards changed to the tier system, Royal Raffle simple abandoned their involvement in the Astar ecosystem but they still remain listed for dApp staking.

You personally vouched and put your word on the line for this project.

Bias definitely exists in this forum and ecosystem and you are no different from the worst in here.

Some people can see right through your wall of text and self proclaimed righteousness.

Fairly unnecessary comment @FFR23

The Royal Raffle did not get the traction we had hoped for, resulting in very little dapp rewards. Before the tier system when we were earning rewards we paid them out to a winner each month as promised. So i am unsure why you have such a negative opinion. There was barely any dapp rewards earned or extracted from the ecosystem and we have not sold a single token.

I would advise you to be more welcoming of innovation and experimentation within the ecosystem as this is what creates compounding and growth for an ecosystem, your attitude is not one that will encourage this or other projects to come and build and personal insults to people like @0xRamz who does nothing but help the eco grow is a pretty low bar to set. Not every project/idea succeeds that is part of life and growth.

I hope you can have a better attitude in future and be more supportive of people trying something maybe then the ecosystem will be able to thrive.

you have my support on the issue of rewards and the bad impact that the system has had on developers.

This does not take away the fact that you are part of a system that provides for development and updates, most of the listed dapps have not done anything for a long time, the dapp should be delisted by your own admission. Other teams had the balls to make themselves heard, why didn’t you join them to make people understand the negative aspects of the change? you went from being minimally supported to having 0, clearly development stops, clearly you should not be here anymore.

The core team and the entire community will have to understand where they are going wrong. Unfortunately, empathy has not been created between developers here and in my opinion this was a well-considered choice by those who govern the ecosystem (because you can say anything, but currently there is no sign of decentralization) and it can, as you have experienced first-hand, lead to steps like that of v2-v3 where all the proposals of the active dapps were taken, the promises made by the community that voted for them and thrown in the trash.

Ramz’s exposure remains, as in other cases, wrong, and the lack of control of ambassadors is a direct consequence.

tomorrow morning you could receive (also thanks to the help of influential people) millions of astars and you could start generating rewards again after you have not developed for a long time…maybe a year, would that be correct for you?

Thanks for the confirmation, I look forward to your dApp being delisted from dApp staking.

@0xRamz what is the procedure for de-listing? I assume no vote is needed since we have confirmation from the founder the dApp is failed.

The team could make a proposal themselves, indicate another party to do so on their behalf a la VLS style, or otherwise anyone, at any point, can make the proposal onchain at https://astar.subsquare.io/.

@AstarHood another one for your list - cleaning up dApp staking slowly but surely

@Mouthmouth68, we can push the delistings in between us and encourage other community members to do so also. I hope others also take it upon themselves to propose delisting to make it a community effort because it effects us all. You can make the proposal too @FFR23, similar to this:

Edit: seems this is already proposed here by the project
