Serious Concerns Reported by Users about SONEX

This post is intended to raise serious concerns regarding the current condition of the SONEX.
Based on long term personal experience and reports from multiple users, the platform appears largely non functional and poorly maintained.

1. Token Swap Functionality Is Broken
The core swap feature is consistently unusable. Users frequently encounter “Network Error” messages, and token lists fail to load, making it impossible to perform basic swaps. A DeFi platform that cannot support fundamental swap operations effectively becomes unusable, raising serious concerns about why the platform remains live.

2. LP & Farming Positions Are Not Displayed**
In the Earn section, users see “Total Positions: $0.00” despite having active LP or farming positions. Although withdrawals may still be possible, the inability to view one’s own assets represents a major transparency and UX failure.

**
3. Explorer Metrics Show Zero Activity**
The Explore page displays UI bug:

  • SONEX TVL: $0.00

  • SONEX Volume: $0.00

This gives the impression of a dead or abandoned protocol, with no explanation provided to users.

4. Repeatedly Delayed TGE With No Clear Communication
The Token Generation Event (TGE) has been postponed multiple times (Q2, Q3, Q4), and there is still no confirmed timeline or official update. This is especially concerning given that 0.3% of the SONEX token supply was already sold via Aspecta BuildKey, with some users investing over $2,000. Selling tokens without delivering or communicating a clear roadmap is unacceptable.

5. Lack of Support and Unpaid Ambassador Commitments
Support tickets and user inquiries are consistently ignored. As an official SONEX ambassador and moderator for over six months, I have repeatedly requested updates and clarity. The only response received from the team representative @Nikos has been a recurring scripted message:

“Hey guys, unfortunately I have no updates from the team.”

Additionally, SONEX still owes me $300 from the Ambassador Program, which has remained unpaid for a long time without explanation.

Final Statement

If the SONEX team is unable or unwilling to properly operate on Soneium or proceed with the TGE, the responsible action would be to clearly communicate this to the community. Continuing to operate a broken platform, while remaining silent, wastes users’ time and puts their funds at risk.

At minimum, users deserve:

Clear and honest communication if they want to Shutdowns Sonex.

The ability to fully access and withdraw their own funds.

An official statement on the future of SONEX.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts

I also asked Nikos about project and said☹️:

The project is still alive but the Soneium ecosystem is seriously underperforming

Being alive without a working platform or clear updates doesn’t inspire confidence.

Despite the issues, it’s good to see the team still active. Hopefully with clearer communication and a few fixes SONEX can get back on track and regain community confidence

Hopefully but confidence will only return once users see real fixes and clear commitments

Finally. I’m still hoping for the Sonex comeback, not to mention they are one of the projects who won the Sonex incubation program, but if they won’t comply I think it’s better to kick them out of the ecosystem and will be flagged as fraud/scam project. But still I am hoping for the best outcome. :clinking_beer_mugs:

In my opinion, the project has been showing several red flags for some time now: missed deadlines, constant interface and UX flaws, and most importantly, a total lack of communication and transparency from the team. I myself had already withdrawn almost everything I had in the project, but with this apparent abandonment of the project, I zeroed out everything I still had in it. After a long time, I withdrew the Astar tokens that have been in storage since the beginning of Astar Surge, and to my unfortunate surprise, they had zeroed out all the X-tokens I had earned up to that point! I think it would be very important if Astar/Soneium could communicate with us; do they still have any contact with the Sonex team?

Hello,

I am closing this topic as it is not relevant to Astar Network or the Astar Collective.

The SONEX project has not been involved with Astar for almost a year, so expecting the team to respond or engage through this channel is extremely unlikely. Moreover, the topic is currently being spammed by new accounts that have never interacted with our forum or community and appear to be here solely to negatively amplify the discussion.

The Astar forum is not the appropriate place to raise complaints about third party projects. We appreciate your cooperation in respecting the forum rules, which are available here:

We encourage you to reach out to the project directly through their official channels or by contacting their team.

If this topic is reopened by the same members involved in the current discussion, it will be automatically closed by the moderation team.

Thank you.
