AS - Spaces and Streams program in Spanish about Astar Network and Soneium

Hi dear Astar Community!

@Audiarmis and I are pleased to present this proposal about AS, a Spaces and Streams program aimed at the Spanish-speaking community about Astar Network and Soneium.

Objective:
The objetive of this proposal is to launch a Spanish-language Spaces and Streams on X (Twitter) pilot program, aimed at strengthening the Spanish-speaking communities of Astar Network and Soneium, educating about ecosystems, and generating valuable connections with communities, builders, content creators, and ecosystem enthusiasts across Latin America. :rocket:

Background:
As Astar Network and Soneium gain traction globally, the creation of structured, real-time content for the Spanish-speaking public becomes necessary. Latin America is a region with enormous potential for the Crypto and Web3 ecosystems, with large, active communities seeking to educate themselves and actively participate in various areas of the field.

With Astar Network’s successful participation as Official Sponsor, led by Jorge Sáez, at Bitcoin Pizza Day Lima 2025, one of the ecosystem’s main events, a strong receptiveness and interest in solid projects such as Astar Network and Soneium is confirmed, not only locally but regionally.

AS was born in response to this need, and as part of giving continuity to these growth efforts both locally and regionally, offering a constant and curated virtual space for learning, debate, and dissemination of the ecosystem.

I recently conducted a stream with ITEMZ LATAM, one of the main gaming communities in the ecosystem in the region, where we explored and tested two of the ecosystem’s projects, Legends of Venari and Arcas Champions. We also had the participation of Carlos Rodríguez, who provided valuable information about Astar Network and Soneium, including relevant information about the Soneium For All incubation program.

The name of this program was conceived by Audiarmis GarcĂa, with her initiative to develop Spaces on the Astar Network for the Latin American community. This effort complements my own initiative to launch Spaces and Streams for the Astar Network and the Soneium account in Spanish, aimed at the Spanish-speaking community.

Likewise, Audiarmis García has been involved with the Astar ecosystem since 2024, participating in local events to showcase Astar Network’s technology. She is an ambassador for Archisinal, a project also incubated in Astar Network’s dApps space. She has recently shared audiovisual content, articles, memes, and publicized the activities of Astar Network and Soneium:

The idea behind developing this program of Spaces and Streams in Spanish, “AS, The Master Card in Web3”, is to continue developing these types of initiatives aimed at positioning Astar Network and Soneium in the Spanish-speaking community.

AS is a concrete, measurable, long-term proposal aligned with Astar Network’s expansion strategy. In this proposal, we join forces to continue promoting and positioning Astar Network and Soneium as leading blockchain projects in the ecosystem, implementing a professional and educational program with a high impact on the Spanish-speaking community.

Hi there! Thanks for the proposal — I’m excited to see the enthusiasm you’re putting into pushing Astar content forward. I’d love to hear what our LATAM ambassadors think about this as well. @Vangardem

As for the X (Twitter) subscription, I personally believe it should be covered by ambassadors and community managers themselves.

In the Brazilian community, before our account was unfortunately banned by X, I paid for the subscription out of my own pocket. And whenever I ran promotions or giveaways, I also used my own funds for the airdrops.

I’m not in favor of using community funds to cover subscriptions or airdrops — especially since agents already receive monthly rewards and can handle those costs, which ultimately help boost their own visibility and content reach. Plus, with the risk of accounts being banned, it feels like a tricky investment to make with shared funds.

Also, are you applying to the Ambassador Program? I noticed the title “Ambassadors” was used during your livestream, but I don’t recall being introduced to you or seeing you in the official group (in case you’ve already been approved). I’d like to better understand the situation with @Gaius_sama and @Juminstock as well.

Hi @pitcoin777 Thank you very much for your feedback! :raising_hands:

I understand your point and I agree with that especially for those who are officially Agents of the ecosystem, since they have their rewards for their work done, however, in my case it is not like that, I am currently doing my work in favor of the project without receiving rewards or monthly salary, I have been covering everything from my own funds, in the same way the idea of uploading the proposals is precisely to generate feedback and see the different opinions and comments that arise in this regard and if the community considers the proposal viable or not.

Yeah, X has very strict criteria regarding accounts on its platform, in fact the same thing happened to me with the previous X account that I had created at the time of Pizza Day, it was later suspended, but I contacted the support team and the account that I have currently created and have been using for the project, meets all its requirements without violating any rules of the platform, so currently there is no problem with that account, and additionally I have also subscribed to Premium, at the moment, the subscription is monthly.

Regarding rewards, this proposal is for a well-structured Spaces and Streams program for the Spanish-speaking community with guests from both the Astar and Soneium ecosystems, as well as special guests and global Web3 communities. The pool is actually small for the expected audience, and since, as I mentioned before, we don’t currently receive a salary from the project, I think it’s appropriate to allocate a pool to incentivize token use and attract new holders to the ecosystem through monthly raffles and events held in conjunction with guests from the ecosystem.

Yeah, we’re both currently “Ambassador Candidates.” We’ve been doing all the work required to continue moving up the ladder and then officially enter the Agent program.

Yeah, I’ve used the term “Ambassadors” since I’m not currently an “Agent” for the project, but I have been representing the project both locally and regionally, both virtually and in person, such as at Pizza Day and the various Spaces and Streams we’ve held.

As I mentioned before, the idea of submitting these pre-proposals is precisely to open the debate and see the community’s different opinions on the matter, and whether or not they ultimately find the proposal viable. For this reason, I truly appreciate your feedback and valuable comments. Thanks again!

For my part, I am pleased to continue developing initiatives that benefit the ecosystem :handshake:

Since they are not receiving compensation as agents like us, I believe there is no issue with such funding if the community approves it. However, when charging subscription fees through personal accounts, it is necessary to consider this carefully, but that is not the case here.

However, there are still questions regarding airdrops. The reality is that most airdrops only generate revenue for airdrop hunters and have little potential to bring value to the ecosystem.
While I understand the idea that marketing expenses are necessary initially to increase followers, in the medium to long term, it likely won’t make much sense. Therefore, I think it would be better to consider activities aimed at increasing organic users. The costs associated with such activities might be easier to approve.

Incidentally, I have never held an ASTR airdrop event before.

Hi @you425 Thank you so much for your feedback! :raising_hands:

Initially, we developed this Spaces and Streams program for the Spanish community with the intention of implementing it without any funding, but rather as part of our core activities as “Ambassador Candidates” and as a way to continue building on our local efforts. We currently have a local community built through Pizza Day, but now the idea is to maintain this community and progressively grow it organically. In this sense, this program provides continuity to these efforts to continue promoting the Astar and Soneium ecosystems both locally and regionally.

This program is structured to last the remaining 5 months of the year and we plan to have special guests such as Core members of projects from the Astar and Soneium ecosystems from various areas such as Gaming, DeFi, NFT, etc., as well as guests from the team of both projects, as well as some personalities and main Web3 communities both local and regional, and jointly develop various interactive dynamics such as Game and platform testing, contests and raffles, and for this it would be necessary to have a pool of rewards available exclusively for this. For this reason, we consider that $ 100 would be an appropriate amount for this since it is neither too high nor too low, it is symbolic but it would undoubtedly make these activities have a greater impact.

Yeah, that’s a reality in the crypto world, and in fact, it’s something we’ve discussed. For this reason, we don’t want to award prizes in each Space, but rather on a monthly basis, as that would only attract airdrop hunters and the idea is precisely for participation to be organic. That’s why we plan to award POAPs instead, which will serve as collectibles and as proof of participation. Then at the end of each month, we’ll host a special Stream in which the Raffle will take place. Only 10 people will be awarded prizes per month.

And to ensure transparency with the entire community, we plan to create a detailed report showing the results obtained along with screenshots and TX IDs for each transaction. Additionally, each Space or Stream will be recorded, making it visible for future playback.

Thank you so much again for your feedback and support, I really appreciate it! :handshake:

Absolutely love this initiative!
Creating quality educational content in local languages is a huge step toward onboarding and empowering the locals Web3 communities.
Astar and Soneium need strong regional voices, and this kind of program helps build exactly that — with consistency, passion, and local impact.

Thanks to @CJorgeSaez and @Audiarmis for this kind of proposal! Great work so far :raising_hands:t3: Surely, @Juminstock support and presence in this kind of events adds even more quality and relevance for the audience."
This is the right effort that truly drives ecosystem growth and makes Web3 more inclusive and accessible for all users.

As @pitcoin777 already mentioned, I also believe that using treasury funds to cover an X (Twitter) account subscription isn’t the right approach.

This type of expense can and should be handled by the event promoters themselves, or through coordination with the current official LATAM ambassadors.

As for airdrops, I think it’s always something that needs to be carefully evaluated.

On one hand, they’re a great marketing tool — they drive participation and help attract attention to events or content.
On the other hand, many people join mainly for the final reward, not out of genuine interest in the project itself.

So it’s a double-edged sword: it can boost engagement, but doesn’t always bring long-term value or committed users.

Hi @SimonB Thank you so much for your feedback, kind words, and support, I really appreciate it! :raising_hands:

Yeah, I understand and completely agree on this point. For the time being, I’m covering the subscription myself. I had added it to the proposal for feedback since we currently don’t receive any rewards from the project.

However, I will remove this item from the budget and continue to cover it myself, as the idea is to contribute to the project and generate valuable initiatives with a real impact on the Astar and Soneium ecosystems.

Now, this proposal is basically for the approval of a rewards pool that will be distributed throughout the development of this program.

Considering that we are not currently receiving rewards from the agent program, and that this Spaces and Streams program is for a five-month period, it would be somewhat difficult for us to do so retroactively. For this reason, we would like to count on the community’s support in this regard and thus have this reward pool during the program that will allow us to develop contests, quizzes, competitions, and other similar activities with special guests from the ecosystem.

The idea is to carry this out in a way that generates an exciting environment while avoiding attendance being solely for rewards. Instead, the idea is to attract new holders and incentivize the use of the awarded prizes within the ecosystem through staking, dApp staking, and other ecosystem tools, thus generating new members committed to the ecosystem for the long term.

Again, thank you so much for your support and valuable comments! :raising_hands:

Hi @pitcoin777, thank you in advance for your feedback — it helps us have healthy discussions about what’s best for the ecosystem, and I agree with you on many points.

Now, regarding the use of the term Ambassadors, I want to clarify that it was never our intention to use language that might bother or make anyone uncomfortable. We’ll make adjustments for future activities. :rocket:

Sending you a big greeting from my side — let’s keep building together!

@you425, sending you a warm hug. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on our proposal. Our goal is to gather a variety of perspectives, and you’re absolutely right — requesting funds is something that must be well justified.

@cjorgesaez has done an incredible job with the Astar en Español account. It was an initiative that helped show others that there’s movement and attention on the ecosystem in LATAM. I looked into it a year ago and noticed that almost all the content was in English.

That said, it will be up to the community to decide whether it’s appropriate to use funds for this purpose. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with how things work in the LATAM region, but airdrops are often used as a marketing tool to encourage people to join and listen to Spaces. Still, we’ve always prioritized organic growth as much as possible — it’s more about giving a little push to boost engagement.

We’re open to hearing any advice, and thank you again!

Hi @SimonB, it’s a pleasure to see you here sharing your thoughts — we truly appreciate it. You’re absolutely right about several points, especially regarding the topic of airdrops.

In fact, the budget is mainly intended to cover that marketing aspect, though we understand how it might cause confusion. That’s why @cjorgesaez and I will be implementing strategies to ensure that not all programs rely on airdrops. They will be carefully managed so the initiatives don’t turn into giveaways with no real purpose.

I’ll also repeat that any unused funds from the budget will be returned to the treasury — our goal is simply to boost the community’s growth. We’ve already had some experience with the recent AMA alongside COINEX, a well-known exchange, where they had a budget to provide rewards. It felt only fair that Astar also contributed to that prize pool.

What we want to avoid in the future is being unable to match support for these types of collaborations, which could make Astar look less engaged or supportive compared to other communities.

We’ll definitely be taking all the recommendations you’ve shared into account — they help us refine the proposal in a way that’s more aligned and friendly with the ecosystem.

Hi, guys! Great to see that you’ve submitted this proposal to the Astar treasury, I really like it.

Since I’ve already been supporting you and following your work, I’ll focus more directly on giving feedback on the proposal itself.

  • First of all, @SimonB’s and @you425’s observation is spot on: aiming for organic users in the long term is much more beneficial than simply giving out rewards from the start. When rewards run out, a large percentage of those users will likely leave. Organic growth takes more time, but with consistency and frequency, it’s definitely achievable.

  • Personally, I’m not a fan of airdrops, though I understand they can attract users. However, there are other ways to reward users, such as: special merch, promotional NFTs, campaigns focused on staking or vaults, direct rewards for valuable contributions, etc. I’d recommend exploring other strategies that allow for more gradual and exponential user acquisition.

  • Lastly, @pitcoin777’s observation is accurate. The title of Ambassador (Agent) is something granted through merit and consistent action. You’re doing an excellent job, but you’re not officially part of the program yet. Keep up the great work, it will definitely help you earn the title once the next wave of applications opens.

I appreciate all the effort you’re putting into expanding Astar & Soneium in LATAM, you have my full support to keep it going. :flexed_biceps:

Hi @Juminstock Thank you so much for your feedback! :raising_hands:

Yeah, NFTs are guaranteed, for the moment we are happy to award POAPs and minted NFTs directly on the projects’ blockchains.

Considering that most people agree that another type of reward should be sought instead of an airdrop, we’ll rework the proposal accordingly, adapting it to special merch (I currently have some pretty cool designs that could serve this purpose) and other types of symbolic rewards that allow for the inclusion of long-term committed members. Once the proposal is updated, I think in the next 2-3 days, we’ll update the post notifying us of this update. Thank you all so much for the feedback!

We’ll update once this is done. Let’s keep building together! :handshake: :rocket:

Hey @Audiarmis and @CJorgeSaez — awesome feedback!
I’m really looking forward to seeing the revised proposal.

You can simply outline the initiative and request a tip reward based on hitting certain KPIs or metrics. I’m totally in favor of that approach — in fact, I find it even more fair than funding airdrops. I’d much rather support contributors who are actively helping grow the ecosystem like you both.

Keep up the great energy in spreading the word about Astar and Soneium!

Not a bother at all!

The title of “Ambassador” is officially granted by the Foundation, and it comes with defined criteria, a clear code of conduct, and specific rules to follow. I truly hope to see your application soon.

Thank you for being here and contributing to the community!

Sure, count on that! :flexed_biceps:

Thank you so much for your support and recognition of the work we are currently doing, I really appreciate it! :raising_hands:

We definitely will do it! Thanks again for your valuable comments and support! :rocket:

That sounds great — I’m looking forward to the new proposal.

For reference, I used to work in the food service. At the time, our marketing analysis showed that “giving a product as a gift led to higher customer satisfaction than offering discounts.” While regional factors may play a role, the takeaway is that “providing something in a non-monetary form is often more effective than direct financial incentives.”

Of course, since we’re in a different domain here, it can’t be applied in exactly the same way — but I believe a similar psychological effect may still apply.

So, I fully support the idea of offering rewards in forms other than direct ASTR airdrops.

Thank you all for this great conversation that will surely serve to create a precedent on the topic discussed here.

First of all I congratulate the guys @CJorgeSaez @Audiarmis for doing a great job in this part of the hemisphere (LATAM) and that enthusiasm coupled with their professional level will surely give them the title of Agents in the near future. keep building!

I agree with @pitcoin777 @you425 @Juminstock and @SimonB, the issue of airdrops is a double-edged sword, and funding for Social Media accounts as well as paid tools to exercise our content creation has always come from our rewards as Agents.

For the case of rewards I also agree with using NFTs as rewards and the usefulness will be discussed later. The cost of this could be evaluated by LATAM agents and accordingly make a decision.

Generating engagement is a challenging task, we should focus on communities that really want to engage with our community and networks, that will facilitate our work.

Yeah, I completely agree with you on this point.

Thanks again! :handshake:

Thanks for sharing this detailed proposal — it’s great to see continued effort to build bridges with the Spanish-speaking community. The structure and goals of AS feel aligned with what the ecosystem needs.

One question: Will the recordings and key takeaways from these Spaces and Streams be made available in a digest format for those who can’t attend live?
