Community Council Update: Farewell to Takeshi and Jay

Hello, Astar Community!

We’d like to share an important update regarding the Astar Community Council.

Two of our valued Council members, Takeshi and Jay, have officially stepped down from the Astar Community Council. Takeshi’s contributions concluded on December 10, 2025, and Jay’s on December 1, 2025. Both departures are due to personal reasons, and we fully respect their decisions.

We sincerely thank @tksarah and @jay for their meaningful contributions throughout their terms. From evaluating dApps and participating in governance decisions to engaging in community discussions and advocating for the ecosystem’s best interests, their dedication has helped strengthen Astar’s governance and community.

Current Council Composition

Following these changes, the Astar Community Council will continue operating with four members:

In alignment with the ongoing Astar Foundation Forward initiative and its focus on streamlined operations, the Council will maintain this four-member composition until further notice. Any future updates regarding Council membership will be communicated through this Astar forum.

The current Council remains fully committed to fulfilling its responsibilities, including managing the Community Treasury, reviewing UCG grant proposals, evaluating dApps for dApp Staking, overseeing Ecosystem Agent Tips, and participating in governance votes.

Both Takeshi and Jay have been part of the Astar Community Council since the beginning, decisively shaping how the Council functions today. Their early commitment greatly helped shape the governance and the structure of the Agents’ quarterly reporting. Thanks guys :glowing_star:

Good question, if we take into account the current tasks being handled by the ACC plus the holiday season at the end of the year, then yes, the current team is capable of covering all the necessary areas without any problem.
