Hi Dear Astar Community! ![]()
As Q3 2026 comes to a close, the Astar Community Council (ACC) is pleased to share a summary of the work, activities, and key decisions carried out throughout the quarter.
Over the past three months, the ACC has continued to focus on responsible Community Treasury management, the ongoing execution and review of strategic programs, and the continued development of the Astar Ambassador Fellowship. While Q3 was a more focused quarter in terms of new initiatives, the Council remained engaged in the operational work required to support the sustainability, accountability, and long-term development of the Astar ecosystem.
This report provides an overview of the Council’s governance activities, Community Treasury operations, Strategic Staking Program developments, and continued efforts to strengthen the Ambassador Fellowship through clearer operational and performance frameworks.
We hope this update provides the community with greater visibility into the Council’s work throughout Q3 and reflects our continued commitment to transparency, accountability, responsible treasury management, and the sustainable growth of the Astar ecosystem.
Introduction
During Q3 2026, the Astar Community Council (ACC) continued working across governance oversight, Community Treasury management, strategic programs, and community initiatives, with a focus on responsible execution and the continued improvement of existing programs.

The quarter also saw continued progress in the ACC Strategic Staking Program (SSP), including the review and adjustment of existing strategic allocations, as well as ongoing Community Treasury operations.
In parallel, the Astar Ambassador Fellowship (AAF) remained an important area of development. The Council continued working to strengthen the Fellowship’s governance and operational foundations, including the introduction of clearer frameworks for ambassador activity, performance, retention, and reward eligibility.
Given the broader market and ecosystem conditions during the quarter, the Council maintained a measured approach to new initiatives, prioritizing responsible resource management, ongoing program development, and initiatives with clear long-term value for the ecosystem.
The following report summarizes the key governance activities, treasury operations, strategic program developments, and AAF improvements carried out by the Astar Community Council during Q3 2026.

Strategic Staking Program (SSP)
During Q3, the ACC continued monitoring and managing the allocations established under the ACC Strategic Staking Program (SSP), ensuring that strategic staking resources remained aligned with the evolving conditions of the Astar ecosystem.
Lucky Allocation Removal
As part of the WASM smart-contract sunset process on Astar, the ACC reviewed the existing Strategic Staking allocation associated with Lucky.
The Council approved Motion #165, which removed Lucky from its Strategic Staking allocation by unstaking the 24M ASTR previously allocated through the program and returning those funds to the Community Treasury.
The decision ensured that the affected treasury allocation was recovered and remained available for future strategic use, while aligning the SSP with the broader protocol transition away from WASM smart contracts.

Activity, Performance & Retention Framework
During Q3, the ACC continued the ongoing work to strengthen the governance and operational structure of the Astar Ambassador Fellowship (AAF).
As part of this effort, the Council published the Astar Ambassador Fellowship – Activity, Performance & Retention Framework, establishing clearer and more consistent guidelines for Ambassador participation and continued involvement in the Fellowship.
The framework defines guidelines covering:
-
Activity & Participation: Establishing clearer expectations for Ambassador engagement and contribution.
-
Performance Evaluation: Providing a more consistent basis for assessing Ambassador performance.
-
Reward Eligibility: Clarifying the relationship between participation, performance, and eligibility for Fellowship rewards.
-
Retention: Establishing clearer expectations for continued participation in the program.
-
Offboarding: Defining a more structured approach for cases where continued participation in the Fellowship is no longer appropriate.
The objective of the framework is to provide greater clarity and consistency for both Ambassadors and the ACC by establishing transparent expectations and standardized processes.
This framework represents the first of several complementary frameworks intended to strengthen the Fellowship’s governance and operational foundations as the program continues to evolve.
Ongoing AAF Development
In parallel with the publication of the framework, the ACC continued working on the broader evolution of the AAF, with a focus on improving its operational structure, evaluation processes, and long-term sustainability.
These efforts form part of an ongoing process to develop a more transparent, consistent, and scalable Fellowship that can better align Ambassador contributions with the evolving needs of the Astar ecosystem.
Looking Ahead
As the Astar ecosystem continues to evolve and market conditions show signs of improvement, the Astar Community Council expects Q4 to be a more active quarter, with a greater focus on community engagement, ecosystem participation, and the continued development of community-driven initiatives.
The ACC’s key priorities for the coming quarter include:
-
Developing strategies to reactivate and strengthen community engagement, with a focus on increasing participation and creating more opportunities for the community to contribute to the ecosystem.
-
Further developing the Astar Ambassador Fellowship (AAF) as a key mechanism for community engagement, contribution, and ecosystem growth.
-
Developing and improving the AAF’s Notion-based operational system, with the goal of consolidating Ambassador management, workflows, performance tracking, and operational processes into a more structured and efficient environment.
-
Continuing to refine the AAF’s operational frameworks, evaluation processes, and contributor management systems.
-
Monitoring the Strategic Staking Program (SSP) and evaluating future strategic allocations based on ecosystem needs and measurable impact.
-
Supporting community initiatives that can generate meaningful and measurable value for the Astar ecosystem.
-
Maintaining a strategic and sustainable approach to Community Treasury management, ensuring resources are allocated responsibly and with long-term ecosystem value in mind.
As activity across the ecosystem increases, the ACC will continue working to ensure that community initiatives are aligned with Astar’s broader needs and that the Fellowship and other community programs are positioned to contribute effectively to the ecosystem’s next phase of growth.
Closing Remarks
Q3 2026 represented a focused period of continued execution, responsible resource management, and structural development for the Astar Community Council.
Throughout the quarter, the Council continued fulfilling its governance and treasury responsibilities while strengthening existing community programs and adapting strategic initiatives to the evolving conditions of the Astar ecosystem. From responsible Community Treasury management and strategic allocation reviews to the continued development of the Ambassador Fellowship, the Council remained focused on transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability.
As we look toward a potentially more active Q4, the ACC remains committed to working alongside the community to strengthen participation, support meaningful contributions, and further develop the structures and tools needed to empower contributors across the ecosystem.
We would like to sincerely thank every community member, Ambassador, governance participant, and contributor who continues to dedicate their time, expertise, and energy to Astar. Community participation remains one of the ecosystem’s greatest strengths, and continued collaboration between contributors, governance bodies, and the wider community will be essential as Astar enters its next phase of growth.
The Astar Community Council remains committed to open governance, responsible treasury management, sustainable community development, and the long-term growth of the Astar ecosystem.
