Q3 2025 – Astar Community Council Update
GM Astar community! ![]()
As Q3 2025 concludes, the Astar Community Council is glad to share an update on our recent activities, deliverables, and progress.
The ACC continues to focus on transparency, accountability, and building sustainable governance systems for the Astar & Soneium ecosystem.
Highlights from Q3
-
Internal Documentation – The Council created standardized workflows for its core operations, ensuring clarity and consistency across recurring tasks. This helps streamline decision-making and improves transparency for both members and the community.
-
dApp Staking Cleanup – Several inactive or low-value projects were removed from the program. This continuous review process keeps dApp Staking efficient and focused on initiatives that bring tangible value to the ecosystem and to $ASTR.
-
UCG Monitoring – Projects supported through Unstoppable Community Grants were carefully monitored. Monthly reports were reviewed and evaluated to verify that initiatives stay aligned with their commitments and the goals of the community treasury.
-
UCG Program Review – The Council began drafting improvements to the UCG framework. These refinements aim to make the program more transparent, efficient, and impactful for ecosystem growth.
-
Business Development – Active outreach was conducted to attract new projects to Astar’s dApp Staking. This effort strengthens the ecosystem by expanding the range of applications and use cases supported by Astar.
-
Agents Evaluation Process Update – The reporting and scoring process for Agents was refined to improve fairness and recognition of contributions. New criteria and bonus conditions were introduced to better reflect quality, motivation, and meaningful governance participation.
-
Agents Evaluation Sheet Update – The internal evaluation matrix was revised in line with the Astar 2.5 Agents framework. This update ensures a more accurate and consistent assessment of Agent contributions across different categories.
-
Evaluation of Core Contributor & Community Treasury delisting — fund reallocation strategy – The ACC is currently evaluating the removal of Core Contributor and Community Treasury from the public dApp Staking list, with the aim of enhancing decentralization and ensuring that only active, community-facing dApps are visible. Simultaneously, we are assessing how to manage and reallocate the funds that will no longer be staked on these dapps.
