Hey Gaius!
The report is currently delayed, I will bring a report next week. Due to illness and moving places.
But in short, we are almost done with the battle system. Animations, monsters, music, limit break specials, turn system, random encounters, different attack styles, magic, vfx effects have all been worked on and solved.
It is only a matter of days/weeks until we present our biggest achievement so far!
We are currently working on the character dialogue, interactions, cutscenes and various sequences for the story.
What needs to be worked on is bringing the levels together, creating prerendered rooms for each map, each level.
Monsters are being worked on.
We have a very special talented new member who works for a subsidiary of Capcom and will be working with us to design the bosses for the demo.
Will be announced later as well.
The music will have to be adapted by Yuka Kitamura depending on the boss design.
Everything will have to be put together and then the testing phase will begin.
It takes longer than usual because we are trying to find the best way to create a workflow that will allow us to work efficiently in the future. A lot of what we are doing is trial and error, but this will help us to be faster in production in the future, while maintaining industry standard quality levels.
I will write a better report soon, I have tried to be as detailed as possible, but there may be some things I have missed.
I support the renew UCG period for SkyLab Corp.
Nice ! Want to play it even more , do You have any estimated date for the demo release ?
We are doing our best to get the demo ready as fast as possible.
I would still estimate March/April could be more early as well if things go well.
As a developer, I understand the challenges involved in the development process. I’ve reviewed your activities, and I’m eagerly looking forward to more projects like yours in the Astar ecosystem. Therefore, I will continue to support you until we see the results.
Thank you.
Thank you,appreciated.
We are looking forward for your development of your project as well!
Very good, glad to read how things are going on your application. I think it is important not to delay reporting, in this case it is understandable.
You are definitely right not to delay!
I have written a recap of our last three months and with the latest update and video from yesterday is the culmination of 3 months work of research, team building and straight up building.
I have not yet compiled it into a subsocial article for the community as I am still not fully settled in and have no access to my computer
But here is the doc, which I will later turn into an article for the community on Twitter.
I have also included all financial expenses for transparency, on request we can also share financial statements at meetings for proof.
This is also our biggest achievement so far, the implementation of the battle system.
The Recap:
Insane ! Can’t wait to play it Another demonstration that Skylab deserves UCG period extension
Amazing job! Congrats!

Thank you for submitting your reports, they are excellent.
I understand that game development is a very difficult thing and I support you.
What I am wondering is your current development progress and future roadmap. I apologize if I missed it, but could you please let me know what your plans are?
The report is concise, straightforward, and clear. Anyway, thank you very much for the update.
The VDO is amazing! I want to play it right now. Thank you for the update.
Wow! The graphics look fantastic, and the gameplay seems very intriguing. I can’t wait to test it out.
Hi @knacker65,
Thank you for your report and I am glad to see that you are applying to extend your UCG period.
Before we proceed to a new discussion period followed by a vote, we need you to create a new proposal similar to your original proposals with your new plans, milestones and goals for this new period.
Please post your proposal in this discussion before Wednesday, December 20. Until then, community members can always ask you further questions.
@you425 of course you can ask, they are outlined in the reports but i will answer happily.
The current state of development is pretty much the video with the basis for the combat system, to sum it up, it was the most time consuming, hardest challenge currently.
With that as a base, we can go in any direction and any style and attack we want.
That will be exciting to work on in the future.
At the moment we are pretty much working on dialogue texts, interactions and story refinement and integration.
The dialogue system is there and needs to be implemented along with the speech.
Also, with our newest artist on board, we are working on boss monsters, creating, rigging, animating. This is a very time-consuming process.
In the end, everything needs to be brought together and refined and made playable through internal testing and so on.
The end goal is the demo, which will hopefully be ready in February-April.
