GM Astar community! ![]()
My name is Brandon Correa, known in the ecosystem as 0xNigromante. I am a Computer Engineer based in Guadalajara, México, with a career focused on blockchain development and cybersecurity, and I am submitting my application to fill the vacant seat on the Astar Community Council.
Relevant Qualifications & Experience
I have been deeply involved in the crypto ecosystem for over five years, holding certifications from CISCO, the Linux Foundation, and the University of Guadalajara. My technical foundation covers multiple programming languages, smart contract development, and an active focus on cybersecurity and QA.
Since September 2023, I have been a Polkadot Ambassador and an active member of the Polkadot Mexican Collective, a team of seven ambassadors working together to grow the ecosystem across Mexico and Latin America. My contributions have spanned across the technical, educational, and community-building dimensions:
- Built Polkabot, a Telegram bot developed to support and simplify community interactions within the Polkadot ecosystem
- Participated in Polkadot Talent Land Guadalajara 2024 & 2025 one of the largest tech events in Latin America featuring a special appearance by Shawn Tabrizi, Lead Developer at Polkadot.
- Delivered hands-on technical workshops on Substrate and Polkadot development
- Organized a Side Event with Google Devs Puebla 2025, bringing blockchain education to a developer-first audience
- Core developer of Aradia a platform that many of you already know, actively building infrastructure and tooling for the Astar ecosystem

Why I want to join the Community Council
Beyond my technical background and track record of organizing real-world events and workshops which I would be more than happy to extend to Astar, bringing new developers and users into the ecosystem. I want to be direct about something I have observed as an active participant in this forum.
There is a very visible gap that needs to be addressed: unanswered questions and ignored community voices.
If you take a moment to browse the forum across different topics, you will notice a recurring pattern questions left without responses for days or even weeks, concerns that seem to be quietly shelved, community members who feel unheard. This is not a new issue, and it is not an isolated one. I believe it sends the wrong message about what kind of community Astar wants to be.
My commitment, if accepted, is simple: no question goes unanswered, no perspective goes unacknowledged. Every community member deserves a timely and genuine response including when the question is uncomfortable or inconvenient. That is not negotiable for me, and it is one of the clearest gaps I can fill from day one.
Beyond that, my technical background gives me the ability to engage meaningfully with governance discussions, development proposals, and ecosystem tooling decisions in a way that goes beyond surface-level commentary.
I want to be fully transparent: I am a core developer of Aradia, which operates within the Astar ecosystem. To eliminate any real or perceived conflicts of interest, I commit to abstaining from any vote or proposal that directly or indirectly benefits me or my projects. My motivation for joining the Council is not compensation it is to fill a gap I genuinely care about and to make Astar a more attentive, responsive, and technically-engaged community for everyone.
One last thing
If you have ever posted a question in this forum and waited days for a response or never received one at all this application is for you.
If you believe the Astar community deserves a Council that is present, attentive, and genuinely engaged with every voice I am asking for your support.
I am not here to collect a seat. I am here to make sure yours is heard.
Please show your support for this application and let the Council know that responsiveness and community attention matter to you. Every like, every comment, and every word of support makes a difference ![]()
