Hello Astar Collective!

Following the stepping down of Simon from the Astar Community Council, we are pleased to announce that voting is now officially open to select the next Community Representative to fill this vacant seat.

I. Meet the Candidates

II. Important Dates

  • Voting Opens: Tuesday, April 21, 2026
  • Voting Closes: Monday, April 27, 2026
  • Results Announcement & Onboarding: Tuesday, April 28, 2026

III. How to Vote

Cast your vote through OpenSquare here: Community Council Election | April 2026: Vote for One Community Representative 👥. The candidate who receives the most community support, measured by ASTR voting power, will be selected to join the Community Council.

IV. About the Role

The newly elected Community Representative will take on responsibilities including:

  • Managing the Community Treasury
  • Reviewing the Strategy Staking Program (SSP)
  • Evaluating dApps for dApp Staking
  • Managing and supervising the Astar Ambassador Fellowship
  • Participating in governance decisions that guide our ecosystem’s development

Compensation is 48,000 ASTR per quarter.
Onboarding will begin immediately following the results announcement on April 28.

The Community Council election has concluded, and we’re excited to announce the results of the vote to fill the seat left vacant by Simon’s stepping down.

With a community participation totaling 6.38M ASTR in votes from 8 voters, Ezio Rojas has been elected as our newest Community Representative.
