Motivation & Vision for Astar

I’m a firm believer in Astar’s long-term vision. My journey with the ecosystem began during the very first round of Polkadot parachain auctions, where I witnessed firsthand its potential to become a cornerstone of the Web3 landscape. Even in those early stages, it was clear that Astar wasn’t just another protocol; it stood out as a project with a unique corporate vision and a strategic business approach rarely seen in decentralized ecosystems.

Rather than focusing on external growth alone, my commitment lies in upholding and advancing Astar’s mission through a professional and high-integrity approach. I aim to contribute by ensuring that every interaction and contribution is deeply aligned with Astar’s internal processes, fostering an environment of reliability and excellence that mirrors the project’s own enterprise-grade standards. For me, Astar represents a robust ecosystem where professional ethics and technological scalability meet to define the future of Web3.

Great to see more LATAM representation stepping up for the ACC. You’ve clearly got deep experience in governance + community building from Polkadot, and the event work across Venezuela/Colombia is a nice signal of real grassroots engagement vs just online advocacy.

Also like that you’re framing the value less as hype and more as professionalism + process alignment, that fits well with where Astar’s moving (dApp staking, UCG, governance). Keen to see how your governance background translates into the operational parts of the role. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I hope I can contribute to Astar with my knowledge and experience.

Happy to see your application to join the Community Council, @EzioRed.

Your experience speaks for itself, and your contributions to Polkadot and Astar are worthy of recognition.

I’ll let the rest of the community ask you questions, if any.

Thank you so much for your words @Juminstock! Excited for use my experience in this role.

Thank you @SimonB! I expect to use my experience in a good way for Astar!

Great application with an impressive track record.

I would like to better understand whether there are also more spontaneous, community-driven interactions.

As far as I recall, all of these meetups were funded through the Astar Treasury. Is that correct?

Are there examples of voluntary contributions or initiatives led independently by community members, without direct treasury sponsorship?

Hey @pitcoin777 thanks for your words and for your question. To address your points:

It is correct that the major milestones I have shared were funded through the Astar Treasury. The scale and impact of these initiatives were possible precisely because of that financial backing. It is worth noting that, in differences instances, these funds were allocated strictly for event execution costs (logistics, venue, etc.), without including any personal monetary compensation for my role as an organizer.

Beyond these large-scale projects, I have carried out other independent and spontaneous initiatives, such as:

Collaborations for Spaces execution: Coordination to create X spaces (Twitter) with centralized exchanges where Astar Network was discussed.

Ecosystem representation: promotion of Astar Network through informal talks and networking at Web3 events throughout Latin America.

Although I have not officially documented these smaller contributions as “major milestones” due to their informal nature.
