Hi dear Astar Community!

It is a great pleasure for me to put forward my candidacy for the vacant seat of Community Representative on the Astar Community Council.

  • Full Name & Timezone
Jorge Sáez / UTC -5 Lima, Perú.

  • Relevant Qualifications and Experience
I am a professional with over 6 years of relevant experience in the sector, specializing in business development and the execution of growth, operational, organizational, and marketing strategies. This has allowed me to successfully build Web3 communities, strategic alliances, and integrations in Peru and Latin America.

During my career, I have served as:

    • Ambassador, LATAM Leader and later Operations Leader at Pixel Realm (formerly Nftb): I designed and executed growth, operational and marketing strategies to drive the growth of one of the leading NFT Marketplaces within the BSC ecosystem, as well as to maintain and develop strategic alliances with leading projects in the ecosystem, as well as with key opinion leaders (KOLs), thus achieving more than 50 successful NFT pre-sale launches and collections.
  • Track Record of Contributions
I have been heavily involved in expanding the presence of Astar Network, Soneium, and Startale in both Peru and Latin America, leading community initiatives, organizing high-impact in-person and virtual events, and creating educational content tailored to Spanish-speaking audiences. These contributions include:

You can see all the details in our results report here.
    • Local Channels: The contributions described above have allowed me to create local channels with the intention of translating and creating content in the local language to keep the community informed and up-to-date on the latest news and events in the Astar Network and Soneium ecosystems. The local channels I am currently managing are: X (Twitter), Instagram, WhatsApp Community, Medium.
    • University discussions and approaches: This is a joint initiative that I’ve had the pleasure of leading, aimed at introducing the Astar Network, Soneium, and Startale ecosystems to university communities of builders and developers. This not only positions these ecosystems but also attracts interested builders who may later decide to actively contribute to their development. These university discussions include:

Nice application! The LATAM focus + Spanish-speaking outreach is a real gap in the current ecosystem, and it’s clear you’ve actually been executing locally (events, universities, content, campaigns) vs just talking about it. That kind of regional presence would add useful diversity to the ACC.

Curious to see how your community/BD strengths translate into the more operational side of the council (UCG, treasury, dApp staking, governance), but the commitment and availability you outlined are strong signals. Good luck!
