Community Council Election | Voting Now Open!
We are pleased to announce that voting is officially open to select the next two Community Representatives for the Astar Community Council. These positions are currently vacant and need to be filled, ensuring our governance structure maintains balanced representation from across our ecosystem.
I. Meet the Candidates:
Three community members have stepped forward to serve in these important roles:

We encourage you to review each application carefully to understand their vision and approach to serving the Astar ecosystem.
NOTE: Please note that zkVan currently serves as an Astar Ambassador. As we already have two ambassadors on the six-member Community Council, maintaining balanced representation across different community roles should be considered when casting your vote.

Voting Closes: Tuesday, February 24, 2026
Results Announcement & Onboarding: Wednesday, February 25, 2026

The two candidates who receive the most community support, measured by ASTR voting power, will be selected to join the Community Council.
IV. What Happens Next:
The newly elected Community Representatives will take on responsibilities including managing the Community Treasury, reviewing UCG grant proposals, evaluating dApps for dApp Staking, managing and supervising the Astar Ambassador Fellowship, and participating in governance decisions that guide our ecosystem’s development. The onboarding process will begin immediately following the results announcement on February 25.
