D8A - dApp Staking Application

This seems like a very interesting idea. However, please allow me to ask some additional questions.

  1. What are the team’s goals or numerical expectations? What specific targets does the team have?

  2. I like the idea of incorporating Metaverse & AI elements. How does the team plan to build upon these concepts in order to ensure the long-term sustainability of the project?

Thanks for the Qs.

  1. My target audience is global as card games can be enjoyed by everyone.
I think we will find lots of users in the ETH/ASTR/DOT ecosystem that come for the card games and stay for the convenient cross chain features.
Offering cash prizes or other reward systems would easily increase adoption.
We intend to make a pretty big splash in the astar ecosystem with our “Secret ASTR project”.
I’m hoping for a v2 towards the end of the year. Then the marketing will start.

  2. I feel I have a unique understanding on how this space is developing and what we can expect to see in 5 years from now.
Then with the integration of AI. We’ll see things like bug reporting/code fixing in-game.
We’re aware of our surroundings though.
That’s why our tech stack is being designed in a unique way so that we can compete with anyone into the future.

I was more interested in the message/tx part than the game part and I liked it.

However, when I looked at the comments, there was a slight confusion of meaning.

In addition, it may be confusing to integrate both the game and this product into the site (it’s like combining two different products)

Can you tell us about your previous works and experiences?

I tried to summarise the confusion here:

I’m excited for the combination of products. It’s not a problem for me.

Previous work:
github
Astar unofficial
metaverse events
current d8a website…

Old version of card game:

PS. All of these products I’ve built promoting astar and I’ve never had any funding.
So vote yes

This is the first time I choose Abstain, honesrly I like the idea of your project. But still not pretty convincing to say Yes for it. But I knew you for more than 3 years and I knew you are still stayIng with Astar and want to build in here, a No from me will be to harsh.

Here’s my suggestion : maybe it needs a bit polishing on the UI side, and from the comments above, I think a lot of readers are confuse with the idea of this project.

I can also agree that a No is harsh.

UI is not my expertise so I’ve hired someone. ($500 a week).

I’m not going to get rich with dapp staking… (Probably $8.84 a day. Before taxes :man_facepalming:)

I’m mainly here because I want to get my product on the astar website so people can find it.

In hindsight I should of just said “yes” to your comment

Like my colleague @souleater, I want to support you with this comment:

I am more of a developer than a marketer, but since I am a DevRel I have noticed the importance of selling your product WELL (an unfunded application does not last in time), that’s why I advise you to work more on making your proposal attractive to your users/investors.

Here we are giving you a feedback that you should take: linking two different products (an app to send messages in transactions and a videogame) are NOT attractive, it doesn’t sound like a good business because it doesn’t make sense, maybe developing this in individual parts would be better.

I only tell you this because you said it yourself, you have been supporting the Astar ecosystem for a long time and putting me in your shoes, it must be hard not to receive support so far, but I assure you that if you take this advice positively, next time you will come with a proposal that for sure the community will support you.

My colleagues liked your app to send messages in transactions, look for a way to improve that product.

I wish you success, buddy, WAGMI!

It is an interesting project and it is really worth to support them, the transaction encryption helps both privacy and new adopters, I will wait about the new updates, I support the project.

I’m not someone that is good at hyping up my products. Normally I build and the users come.

I have a product already built and it works with astar. I want to improve the product and dedicate it to astar. So I’m asking you guys to support me like I’ve supported astar.

Some people seem to like the idea of playing cards.
Others messaging/txs.

I already have built both and it’s not difficult to combine them.

Getting funding from astar always seems to be one step away for me.
In 2021 I asked for funding to build events in decentraland. Community seemed hyped. The core team said no to funding but told me to keep building.
So I kept building and got over 20,000 unique ethereum addresses looking at astar through decentraland.
Then I built an UNO style game to attract more visitors.
And a quiz so people can learn about astar in a more fun way.
Still no funding. Then the forum thread was closed so now nobody can see how much work I’m putting into the product.
I contacted the astar team and they said they said they closed it because they can’t send astar transactions in the game.
So I built a system that allows astar transactions to be sent in the game.
Now:

I will finish building out this product but would of been easier if I launched an NFT project or memecoin instead of a DAPP. :man_facepalming:

Appreciate the feedback.

Hey,
Thanks for your proposal, well detailed. However, i jave got a few questions. What kind of transactions could your dApp be used to send, is it similar to dmail on zksync? Would you support multichain in the future and lastly, how would this project support the Astar Network in general?

Thank you

It has the potential to do any type of transaction. Including ones like dmail.

I was hoping to focus solely on the Astar networks. Multichain means keeping up with all the different networks. Which makes it more complicated.

It supports the astar network by bringing new users from different backgrounds. Gamers/Polkadot/Ethereum/NFTs/Cards/ASTARIANS/METAVERSES/AI

Thanks for your feedback. You have my support.

I voted AYE for this proposal. Let’s hope this project brings new use case, and add real value to Astar ecosystem. Thanks

Thank you very much for the proposal. I’m not quite sure how on-chain text messages would be attractive to users or make it easier for them to join Astar. Would users need to be on your platform to receive these messages? Regarding AI training, what kind of data do you currently have on the D8A platform? Is it limited to on-chain messages? How do you handle questions about any project within the Astar ecosystem?

Y’all asking for all my secrets

Any message can be useful. Satoshi used to like on-chain messages to attack wall street. Or maybe if someone was kidnapped they could send an on-chain message for help. Also legal agreements. Anything really. Off-chain messages are also useful because they are free.

Our AI is currently tuned on the d8a platform. So the AI can help the user send a transaction or message via our website. This will expand soon.

personally i would like the user to learn what they need to send “what they want to send” rather than just connect wallet & confirm, for old people/new user, they can get scammed if the one who ask input different number too

We do that already…
We have the users input desciption.
Then we have an AI description as well. :+1:
