Hi @ERC20s , thanks for the proposal! I personally like the idea and utility of it. If a few clicks can do some routine works to make the user life easier, it would be great! But as others mentioned, you could make your dApp more user-friendly and have better UIs and so on.

  1. Personally, curious to know how you come up with the name d8a?

  2. Also you have mentioned that you take security very seriously, which is good.

Would you be able to elaborate more on ‘basically’ zero financial risk? Do you still think there is any potential risk to have any security issues or do you plan to have audit?

  1. When sending the URL to friends to make the tx be executed, the URL starts with d8a.com so I think there might be potentially doubt from the receivers if they should link/connect their wallet(s). What is your opinion and how do you think to convince people?

  1. D8A. Short for “DATA”. Everything is data. We’re focused on transferring blockchain data. :slight_smile:
    Also I like short/memorable domain names to avoid phishing scams. :laughing:

  2. The DAPP itself doesn’t hold any crypto assets for users. The only risk is if someone was to hack into the server and pose with fake transactions but I would get a lot of warnings if that happened. Connecting your wallet to any website is a risk if you don’t know what you’re doing. Education is something that I’m also passionate about.

  3. Gaining the trust of users is always difficult. Hopefully we convince the users with cool features that they can share with their friends.
    Eventually d8a.com will become a recognised brand in our ecosystem.

Thanks @ERC20s , d eight a , what a creative way of saying data! Indeed, connecting wallets on a website is always at user’s risk, so it is indeed important to gain sufficient reputation and popularity not for users to prevent from accessing the service as well as web3 wallets. Already, this message-like-tx idea is a good feature to be implemented in the ecosystem, so hope to see the dApp growing and gaining more attention!

Except for expanding this service to the EVM side, can you share future milestones?

Dapp-staking is a milestone of ours. :sweat_smile:
We have a lot in the works at the moment. Hopefully the new website will be live in about 3 months. Where we will have a messaging service for evm and substrate.
The AI is improving rapidly which is good.
Already we’re playing with image generation. So NFT generation could be next.
Also added multi-sending transactions this week.
There are always new features to add and we’re excited to get things built.

Glad to see that you have various ideas to implement / improve the dApp. It would be great if you can add such and highlight the proposal, to make your proposal more clear and eventually to get more YES to be listed on dApp staking. You have my support. :handshake:

Unsure how I managed to get soo many “no” votes :sweat:

I got a $ offer to implement this on another chain today. :eyes:

Butter, please keep your promise with the new UI on 3 months. After careful consideration i change my vote from Abstain to YES.

Reason :

  • Erc20 aka Butter has already here since Plasm era, not easy for someone still being a part of community during bear until now and not even an ecosystem agent, and still showing intentions to build on Astar.
  • I’m satisfied with Butter answering above questions.

What I hope :

  • fully working dApp with nice UI and easy understandable for common users.

As you can see, the results of this vote were very close. The high number of abstentions is particularly noticeable.

I think this is due to my respect for you who have been active since the Plasm era and lack of vision for you project.

As a sentiment, we want to vote Yes out of respect for you, but considering you as a dApp, it is hard to evaluate the project in its current state. I understand that there is a major update coming in the future, but I don’t think that is well communicated to the voters.

Perhaps if you had made that update and made the situation more understandable, you would have garnered more Yes votes. Nevertheless, the Yes votes exceeded the No votes. Congratulations!
