Hey @CJorgeSaez.
After reviewing the report and individual opinions from council members, the Astar Community Council approves the retroactive funding request of 31,783 ASTR for Jorge.
The Council acknowledges and appreciates:
Their long-term dedication to promoting the Astar, Startale, and Soneium ecosystems.
Their initiative in organizing offline community events, which are essential for grassroots growth.
Their consistent presence and advocacy in the LATAM region.
The professional execution and documentation of the recent event.
While the request has been approved, the Council would like to encourage the following best practices for future event-based funding:
Clear KPIs and objectives
Expected number of attendees
Target audience (new users, developers, students, etc.)
Engagement goals (wallet creation, social follows, sign-ups, etc.)
Defined outputs
Type of content produced (photos, videos, recap thread, blog, etc.)
Follow-up activities (education sessions, onboarding flows, etc.)
Impact tracking
This added structure is not a requirement for community efforts, but rather a recommendation to maximize visibility, ROI, and long-term ecosystem value.
Hi @pitcoin777 and Astar Community Council, thank you so much for taking the time to review the event report in detail and for approving the retroactive funding! ![]()
I truly appreciate the recognition of the work I’ve been doing and the continued support to keep driving Astar, Startale, and Soneium forward in the region. Each of these initiatives aims to bring more people closer to these technologies and help boost and position the ecosystem in the region.
I also greatly appreciate all the recommendations shared for future initiatives, I will certainly take them into account and add them to future proposals and reports to maximize the value generated for the ecosystem.
I will continue working with the same dedication and commitment so that Astar and Soneium continue to grow in Peru and LATAM. Thank you so much again to the community, Agents, and the Astar Community Council for your trust and support of these community initiatives! ![]()

Solid three-event strategy targeting different segments — university, builders, and startups. Peru Tech Week with UPC looks like the anchor event. What’s the total budget request for all three, and how are you measuring success beyond attendance numbers?
Hi @BoomBLB thank you so much for your feedback! ![]()
The initial proposal was certainly for Astar Network to have a leading role in all three proposed events; however, considering the proximity of the events and the feedback received, I decided to hold only one event:
This event took place retroactively on October 23rd and the requested budget was 31,783 ASTR ⁓ $460.86
Some of the metrics used to measure success were:

190+ attendees and 100+ new WhatsApp members is solid for a university event. Since this was retroactive, what’s the process for budget approval now? And are you planning more university events based on this success?
Hi @BoomBLB , this event is a university conference that aims to bring Web 3 technologies closer to the builder and developer community, and I certainly believe they are a valuable target audience for this purpose. I hope to hold future editions, but that will be later. For now, it’s summertime, but yes, I will continue developing initiatives for the Spanish-speaking community that help promote the Astar Network, Soneium, and Startale ecosystems ![]()
